Kedai Makanan Mun Wah Hokkien Mee, Kuala Lumpur

Another last year post. Happens on a rainy evening in Kuala Lumpur.

Went to KL for some reason and couldn't decide what to eat. Then Mamarazzi recalled we haven had Mun Wah Hokkien Mee for a very long time. The last time we've been there was back in 2008

Decided to "Tapau" home and eat as it was raining.

 Doesn't look that nice

But don't be fooled by the look. It was certainly very delicious. Generous amount of ingredients like liver, prawns, intestine and of course the much needed Pork lard!

Here is the address should you be down town today and wishes to have delicious Hokkien Mee, No 55, Jalan Maharajalela, 50150 Kuala Lumpur.  03-2144-7404

Ka Ka Bak Kut Teh at Kepong

Okay okay...time to "clear" some of the backlog posts.

We "makan" here in November last year.

It was just after a rainy day. Have no idea where or what to makan. Papa drove around and we arrived Kepong. Hence there and then we decided to have Bak-kut-teh as Kepong is also famous for that.

Spotted a BKT restaurant with a lot of people. Sure to be good gua since a lot of people makan here.

Service was fast. Our bowl of "oily" rice. Very aromatic.

The BKT. A lot of ingredient put in. Yummmm..

 Vegetable. Nice. Not over cooked.

And Mamarazzi claims that this is simply the BEST Vinegar Pig Trotter ever! They added a bit of dried Cili to make this. Very YUMMY!.

Would certainly go again even if it is just for this dish.

Not sure of the address but it's right opposite Carrefour Kepong. Easy to spot.

Malaysia Rooms For Rent

While driving me to school this morning, Mamarazzi spotted this Taxi. Interesting advertisement there. It's much better than putting up poster or signboard of Room for Rent all over the housing area. Not only that it's not that effective but also would dirty the area.

Upon coming home from school, Mamarazzidecided to look up the website. Pretty interesting.

There is a section for property owner to post up room for rent with all the terms and conditions listed down and a section for potential tenant to search for rooms.

There are sure a lot of  Malaysia rooms rent listed, categorise by states in Malaysia. The website is updated daily to give the most up to date news.

There is drop down list that state the preference on race and sex of potential tenant. This makes room hunting much easier. Ones do not have to call the potential Landlord only to be told that the he/she wishes to rent the room to females only and stuffs like that.

Mamarazzi also noticed that some of the advertisement posted with photographs of the room. Ones can view online the suitability of a room before deciding whether it's worth the drive to investigate further.

What is more attractive is that most of the advertisement states what sort of "extra" facilities are provided. This is good because the potential tenant would certainly wants to know if Internet connect is provided and if they may use the washing machine, refrigerator, kitchen for cooking and stuff like that.

She also noted that Short Term Rental is also available there. This is certainly a good news for travelers who wishes to see the sight and experience the rich culture of certain states at a cheaper price.

For Short Term Rental, Mamarazzi noted that most of the advertisement comes with photographs of the place. Interested tenants can check the availability of the rooms and book online instantly. Only downside of the booking chart is that we have to click the dates we wanted one by one instead of just key-in the required dates. This could be tedious as some property owner set minimum rental term for 20 days or more.

Mamarazzi is also happy to noted that there is a Guest Review section which give feedback to property owner and potential tenant on the condition of the rooms.

Overall, this is certainly a good website to go to if you are hunting for rooms as there are a large choice to choose from depending on your budget and requirements.

Valentine Day Celebration at Chili's Citta Mall.

Quest for the Balls and Dinner at Restaurant Ban Joo Hing, Tanjung Sepat.

Wah...playing by the sea very tiring and thirsty leh. Lucky Mamarazzi pandai(clever). She took along some ice cold 100 plus in the Cooler bag.

Where are we going next ah? Food hunting ah? Me hungry too. Good idea wor, Papa. Ya, let's go Tanjung Sepat to have dinner. Wanna hunt for some balls too...fish balls.

Is it here? Nah...it's only dried shrimps...naughty Papa push my head on the plastic of shrimps when I went and sniff sniff there.

Phew! Ikan Masin(salted fish). Auntie Litte Bird...one of these days  you must certainly come here...can play by the beach and borong salted fish.

Can't find the balls anywhere.

Since both Restaurant Ocen and Restaurant Lovers Bridge are full of people, we decided to have our dinner at a nearby restaurant. It's called Restauran Ban Koo Hing.

Hmm...not many people here. Is it a sign? Well, let's try it.

Surprised surprised...after we ordered our food, a lady came and sell Fish Balls and all sort of sea products. Mamarazzi bought some fish balls, fish cakes and fish wantan. Taste delicious!

Looks like I have a secret admirer back there.

First dish came. Seong Thong Lala(Clam Soup) RM12. Alamak...Papa told them don't put Cili Padi. They forgot and put.

Spicy but the Lala(clams) were very fresh and juicy.

Stir-fried Sweet Potatoes Leaves RM7. Taste okay.

Fried Squid RM15. Papa said it's chewy.

 Let me try...

Hmm...no ah...nice. Just nice. In fact, I managed to finish almost the whole plate of this with Mamarazzi's help.

Crab Fried Bihun. Bet someone in New Zealand would be drooling. RM50. The Crab taste delicious! Mamarazzi said the bihun was a bit oily for her, But both Papa and me feels it tasted okay.

Papa liked the Clams so much that we ordered another plate of it. This round we had Steamed Clams. Also taste very good. The soup tasted even better without the Cili Padi.

Yay! Found another good place to eat. Hmmm ...weird.... coz Mamarazzi noticed that the two tables seated near us were locals. Could this restaurant be the food hunt for the locals in Tanjung Sepat? Have we inadvertently came across the secret shop of Tanjung Sepat?

Here is the address just in case you wish to drop by and have a try : Restaurant Ban Joo Hing, Jalan Senangin 3, 42800 Tangjung Sepat Laut, Kuala Langat Selangor. Tel : 019-3667366
