Kedai Makanan Dan Minuman(Restaurant) Cui Hu Jing, Lawan Kuda , Gopeng

Another "stale" post. Happen way back in August. This post got interrupted by school holiday and what not....Should be read as a continuance from "Roast Meat at Restaurant First Kwong Chow, Ipoh (Not Halal)"

After a short rest at the hotel, off we went food hunting with Auntie Claire and the gang. This round we went to "Horse Fighting"...lol...nah...that's not really the name of the place. It's just direct translation from Bahasa Malaysia.."Lawan Kuda".

Auntie Claire and friends discovered this place through her food journey. Here is how she discovered it "New Discovery Cui Hu Jing At Lawan Kuda, Gopeng".

That evening Auntie Nancy and Auntie Claire brought us to this scenic restaurant.
.

Me very sleepy leh.... padan muka coz Mamarazzi asked me to sleep in the hotel I don't want. Instead wanna go swimming pulak.

Guess we arrived at the restaurant very good timing leh. Not long after that it was raining cats and dogs. Very windy and cold. Lucky I have got a sweater in the car.

And of course the gang did not hesitate to order warm food to warm our tummy.

Service was quite fast.... Yummy tofu....errr..... proper name tarak tau but the gravy taste great with the rice.

They purposely ordered the egg for me coz scared I have not enough to eat.

But...instead ..I was eyeing the fried chicken...shy shy la...I ate two pieces only leh... Actually I ate very little at that time for dinner. They were wondering if the food doesn't suit me but maybe I have a sixth sense la....the makan gang surely will not be satisfied with only dinner...there will be more to come later on.

Vegetable dish....very popular among the ladies... eh eh eh...there was one more vegetable dish....where's the photo ah? Missing in action. Probably Mamarazzi forgotten to snap the photo coz too happy to see that dish. Can you guess what was that dish?

The ladies ordered two type of fish. One fried and spicy.

The other was steamed fish.  Both also unique. If to choose one...Mamarazzi would say she like the steam ones better. Both fishes were very fresh and doesn't have "mud" taste.

Syok oh going in a large group. This way, we can order a lot of food to try instead of one or two dishes only.

Errr...Mamarazzi tried to google the address but doesn't seems to be able to find one....The nearest was from Auntie Claire's blog which states near Jalan Desa Cahaya... From that road can see the restaurant. From google map...it point to Jalan Desa Cahaya 1. Errr.... agak-agak la.. :

Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon (SCKLM) 2015

I was looking to forward to running at the Kids Dash event in the SCKLM since last year . After my short run last year, I kept reminding Mamarazzi to sign me up for the Kids Dash again.

But this year, when they posted the date of the run, Mamarazzi nearly did not sign me up for it coz it's just a day away from my school final term exam. After a lot of pesteringbegging...finally she did it.

Then came the Haze. They said they will announce whether SCKLM will proceed by Friday evening....news came say YES. I was so happy. Then late Saturday afternoon, Mamarazzi received an e-mail saying the SCKLM is cancelled due to the worsening haze condition. I cried when I read the e-mail.

*Note : Bravo to the organisers for making a brave decision and also ensuring news reach participants via timely e-mails, SMS and Media release. And also for giving proper procedure and instruction on collection of the participants' entitlements.

The next morning, Papa drove us to the nearest LRT station to take a train to Dataran Merdeka. Actually the organisers had mentioned that for those who can't go to collect their entitlement of Sunday, they will announce alternative arrangement but we might as well go collect la since Papa also have some work to do that day.

Many peop were at Kelana Jaya LRT station. A lot of runners going to collect their entitlements.

Makcik! Pergi shopping ke? Or pergi running?

Determined to see whether they got bluff or not....maybe got running leh....

Mamarazzi, you said the running have been cacelled but why the (portable) toilets are still there *Mamarazzi sweat*

 Really no run ah?

It was a breeze when comes to collection of medal. There are signboard that states which lane to go to to claim participants' entitlement. In my case....Medal and Certificate and banana and 100 Plus drink.  No BIB no claim. They checked the BIB before they release the stuffs to me.

The pretty Jie Jie that manned the 3km Kids Dash encourage me to sign up again for next year run.

Wokay....Lenglui punya pasal...I will sign up again next year!

No run...but got medal....hmmm..... mehhh......but but but it was still very festive here leh. So many runners here snapping photos and meeting up with friends.

As we were walking back to the LRT station...we heard exciting kind of shouting... What's that? Wah a marriage proposal.....That's what the D.J. said.  ...Fuiyoh! Glamour!

Saw a man in the middle of the road.....Snap photo ...to support Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Dropped by Petaling Street to get some food. Wah....many runners also have the same idea as us. Food stalls were full of customers. Good leh.

Told Mamarazzi to message Papa. We take bus home la. No need to come down town to pick us up la. Now the bus station had changed so much liao. Mamarazzi also didn't know where to take bus liao...a Bangladeshi man told Mamarazzi where to get the bus that is going to our place.

Off we went....

Guess what we bought from Petaling Street...

Top left are some fried stuff...many people queue up for the prawns fritters... top right was "Siew hau joh"...a type of muffins ...these have sesame seed on it...Papa said not nice coz have funny smell.

Bottom left was the Madras Lane Chee Cheong Fun...uiks...no more red color sweet sauce ka? Don't care.....hungry punya pasal....hentam aje la...

And the most yummy ....Sze Ngan Chye Roast Duck...super yummy..... had this for lunch and dinner.

Monkeying Around Pantai Redang, Sekinchan

Woohoo...finally at the beach. Last time we came here, there were too many people. All the tree houses were fully occupied. This round maybe coz due to the haze or maybe due to Mooncake Festival...no many visitors here.

Can climb and play to my heart content.

Errrrr....but kinda boring also leh...nobody play with me...

Change "agenda" la. I better cycle around.

Went to the famous wishing tree nearby.

Alamak! No parking leh.

So many red ribbons leh with chinese writings....Wah...sure many people made a lot and lot of wish here.

How to stop and make a wish leh?? Later I kena "saman".

Aye! Aye! Captain. Time to move on.

Moved to another side of the beach...Bigger and got kids there to play with me. Yahoo......

Restaurant Poh Ki 宝记海鲜饭店, Sekinchan

Round and round we went. First went to buy some fresh fishballs and Yong Tau Foo. Then time to find food.

What to eat...where to eat.... Don't really know.. google and saw that mostly recommend a restaurant but when we pass by..there were so many people inside and outside waiting. Surely that is not the only restaurant with good food there gua?

There were plenty of restaurant along the main road. So we just tembak one restaurant la...Saw this Restaurant Poh Ki. Attracted by the banner. Got photos of food. Easier for us to order as we just need to point, ask and order as some village style restaurant doesn't have proper Menu.

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe ... which shall it be?

I choose this .....Seong Thong Lala(Clams with Superior soup) I love Lala....yummmy....

Mamarazzi choose this.....shark meat with preserved radish. Taste pretty good. Just like normal fish meat.

Also Tofu ..with mui choy...alamak....didn't realised dishes also consist of preserved/salted vege. Nevertheless, it was appetising.

Simple stir-fry sweet potatoes leaves. Oppss....sorry...looks like someone too hungry liao...

Again my "angin datang"...wanna eat with hands pulak. Managed to eat 2 plates of rice...shocking Ah Ma who kept saying I can't finish la.

Currently,  am at Jughead Jones stage and follows Mamarazzi's genes. I can eat and eat and eat but don't grow fat.

Mamarazzi is sure lucky to have a kid like me. When am hungry, I  will look for food to eat and when am full, i will stop eating. Since birth, no need to worry about me not eating or eating too much.

How much was the bill? Surprisingly the total bill was quite cheap reasonable. All in..inclusive of Chinese tea only comes up to around RM50plus.
Here is the address should you wish to try out the food here:-

Family Trip to Sekinchan(Part 2...gua)

Sorry sorry....dunno what happened to Mamarazzi... yesterday supposed to post up about Sekinchan but dunno why turn out to be Fatty Crab pulak.... Old liao....nyanyuk liao.

Well...after going to the temple, we went to the rice factory....it's just a corner away from the temple. I wanted to go for the tour again but Mamarazzi said I have been in the tour twice already. No need to go la. Just walk around the sales gallery....didn't buy any rice coz still have stock. Bought Ice-Cream and a Sweet Corn

Meanwhile, Mamarazzi walk to the stall opposite the road. Wah ...lucky wor.....this round finally managed to see "mango king"/ Gosh! The mangoes were thicker than her arms and nearly as long. She wanted to snap photo to show how long and big the mangoes are but she dare not hold it. Worried that they may fell as itr was quite heavy.

The lady boss very clever leh. She said much easier to put on the scale. Wah lau eh....2kg dei....The big size ones are being sold at RM8 per kg while the smaller size from the same species are sold at RM10 for 3kg.

The boy who helped her select the mangoes said it's home grown. No pesticide. Hmmm.....looks like the boy was speaking the truth....discovered it when we came home.

Taste of the mangoes was quite sweet. Since we bought mangoes already from here, we didn't venture all the way in...to the proper Mango King Stall.

Instead, Papa said bring Ah Mah to Ah Mah's house... my Ah Mah was puzzle what is that and why we kept saying Ah Mah's house.

Hey,.... something new....right outside Ah Mah's house, there were a couple making and selling Kuih Kapit(Love letters) . Very good team work... The man pour the batter.... the woman "jaga" the fire and using only one hand she expertly folded the "love letter" . The helper then arranged them into the container. RM28 per containers of 100pieces. Worth it or not? Well, considering all the work that needed to be done...think it definitely worth it la.

Ventured into Ah Mah's house and Mamarazzi noticed these. The candies that she used to eat when she was a kid.

Do you remember these? The sour plums..the white rabbit candie...the eggy....the bubble gums...and etc.

Mamarazzi bought the Bubble gums for me said can blow bubble ones but then when I tried...tak jadi pulak....sobs sobs... By the way...I love the Sarsi Lolipop

Papa pulak was fascinated by the lenglui candy floss. This lenglui very pandai make candy floss into varuios shapes leh...got flowers....got duckie and etc...but the price also reflective of her skill la oh..RM6 for a simple design while the duckie was RM10. Cool.

All these really makes me hungry leh... Lucky got the sweet corn that Mamarazzi bought earlier...Next stop....of course la cari makan(again).

Fatty Crab Restaurant , Taman Megah

All these ah....due to influence from Auntie Claire la. Saw in her blog not long ago about makan-ing here. Papa pulak sibuk say wanna makan crab. Okay lor......one weekend Mamarazzi lazy to cook...off we went to Tamanh Megah for Fatty Crab.

Wah lau eh.....Baru 5.25pm leh.....already have queue liao(Sunday mah). Lucky we managed to grab the last empty table...or else dunno queue till when lo

First thing....ordered their Fried Chicken Wings.

Super yummy leh...alone I can wallop 2-3 chicken wings leh....

Papa also ordered Satya but am more interested in the chicken wings.

Fried rice is usually good here but dunno why that evening it was a tad too salty. Maybe the Chef forgot and added salt twice kot.

Finally comes the main dish......Sweet Sour Sauce Crabs. Aiyoyoyo.......manyak sedap leh. In the beginning I ate only the crab meat but Mamarazzi asked me to try the sauce. Goes well with the toasted bread. I didn't believe her. SHe told me to take a small bite. Eh...really la....taste fabulous. In fact, after that..I put rice on top of the bread and drizzle it with the gravy. Very delicious.

Perut kenyang, hati senang. A full tummy, a happy heart.

Note :-
1. Address :  No 2, Jln SS 24/13, TamanMegah, Petaling Jaya, Selangor,
