Babi Guling at Ubud, Bali

It seems that this stall is very famous in Ubud. Located just opposite the "pasar". It's barely 11am, and many people are Q-ing up for their share of "Babi Guling".We had to wait quite some time before getting a seat.

Tatatataaaa~ the arrival of the "Guest of Honour". The "Babi Guling"







Saliva dripping onlookers are waiting for their order.







This strong lady managed to chop off the "babi" head at a single blow. Fuiyo! I wouldn't dare to cross her.






Add a little bit of this, and a little bit of that....

and tatatadummmm~...here is your "babi Guling Rice". Crunchy skin and tender meat with some other stuffs. Be careful. It's very very HOT

These image were captured on 27th May 2007, 12.30pm. On the road/highway going from PJ to Sunway/Federal Highway.

There were 5 motobikes. Fooling around in the middle of the road. Two were using their leg to push the one infront.

At a glance, thought the front motorbike have konk-out. Thus need to be "push".

After the toll, I actually discovered that the motorbike is alright. No engine problem.

Just some stupid fella fooling around on the road. Wonder where they got their licence(if they have any)?

If wanna die, got elsewhere-lah. On the road, should a car hit them, the car would be at fault eventhough they are the ones fooling around. There is a chinese saying "if want to die, don't trouble the neighbours!"

Nice view

I went for a holiday recently.

The hotel have a very nice view from the balcony of it's lobby.

Not only it's a nice view from the balcony. It's also nice view from the greenish blue sofa.

Unwittingly, she has also "accorded" some "view" for those sitting below should they glance up to the balcony. Aiyo! Ah Moi...next time watch where you stand-lah

Accident

Kinda blue. The hubby of one of my ex-colleague was involved in an accident yesterday. A bus rammed into the car he was in. The car was driven by another person and that person ran a stop sign.

He died on the spot. Heard his body parts was scattered all across the road :(. The driver is now in coma.

Because of an act of impatient, a life was snuffed out. A seven month pregnant woman is made a widow. Three very young children lost a father and the fourth child would never see his/her father's face. Never know the warmt of a father's touch nor feel a father's love.

For what? To save a few minutes? To rush to the next appointment?

Makes me wonder how could/would the driver live with himself, if he wake up from the coma and discovered that he had deprived parents of a son, wife of a husband and children of a father?
How?

Fried Bihun with Crab

Yummy! Yummy!A friend introduced me to this delicious dish. Fried Bihun with Crab.

Although the Bihun doesn't look appetizing in the picture, looks a bit overcooked. However, the taste is wonderful. Simply delicious. Mouth watering.

The main dish of this shop is "steamboat". However, more and more people got to know about this crab bihun.


If you are going there, better be early as by 7pm the restaurant will be full.

"The Never Ending Story" Movie and book

I have watched "The Never Ending Story" repeatedly when I was young. Really cried when it gets to the part where Atreyu's horse sink into the swamp.

What a boon it is to find THE book at Paylessbooks yesterday in PWTC(KLIBF) I wonder whether in this case that the movie is better than the book or vice versa.

According to wikipedia, the movie deviated from the movie so much that the author, Michael Ende, had requested the moviemaker to halt production or change the name of the movie. When they did not do as requested, Mr Ende, sued them. He lost the case.
