Papa Cooks Thai Style Fish with NuStevia® White Stevia Powder

Lately hypermarkets have been selling Ikan Siakap(Seabass) at a very cheap price. Bought two the other day for less than RM10.

Mamarazzi really loves the Thai Style Steamed Fish that we had at Restaurant Khunthai. Papa said that the dish is very easy to cook lah . Well.....that was what he did with the Siakap that we bought.

Ingredients :

- 3to 4 small onions . Can cut rings or just dump the whole onions in
-3 stalks of lemongrass(Crushed)
-1 stalk of bunga kantan( Torch Ginger/ Ginger Flower)
-zest from 1 lime
-juice from 1 lime
-4 to 5 kaffir leaves
- cilantro for decoration
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of Knozz Ikan Bilis
- Cili Padi(Bird's eye chili-optional)

Method :

Boil the onions, lemongrass, bunga kantan, lime zest, kaffir leaves, salt and knozz ikan bilis in a saucepan. Wait till lyou can smell the lovely aroma coming from the pan;  then  you can add in the fish. Boil till the fish is fully cooked.

Just before served add in the lime juice and half a packet of NuStevia White Stevia Powder .Gotta love this NuStevia White Stevia powder. Not only that it contains zero sugar but it's also gluten free and does not contain any animal or by-products.

Tada! Simple and fast Thai Style Fish . The Stevia Powder really added taste to the while dish. Yum!....

Long beans from Mamarazzi's garden

Made into omelet. MMmm.....just nice... All done. Can beat dinner in a restaurant leh? All in....less than RM10.

  1. It all looks very good! I must say I have never heard of putting some kind of sugar in fish, so I would LOVE to taste it and see how it changes it.

  3. Nice! I've seen this NuStevia product too! :)

Tried the chocolate NuStevia and it tasted really interesting. I like how stevia is sweeter than regular sugar but without the unhealthy effects.

  8. I also use Equal Stevia in my drinks but have heard many people say that this stevia sugar substitute is not good for us (it was once banned by FDA in the US). Don't know who is right or wrong with this stevia controversy :(
