Chinese New Year Projects



Okay...Ngaku Chips done....and these are the result of Mamarazzi's experiments. All shapes and sizes...okay...Looks pretty ugly but finally managed to make 1-2 that did not leak. The rest are like wearing bandages.

The one in the plate duno what happened. Refused to set eventhough others from the same batch had set.

Closed shop for Nian Gao this year. Now headache what to do with the ugly ones. Throwaway too sayang. Ownself eat  ...cannot habis...want diabetic meh...Gosh....the amount of sugar needed for the Nian Gao is really scary. No matter how much 'less sugar' put in, it's still way too much to consume a lot. 

 Don't be alarmed if mamarazzi went "missing" from online next few days coz yesterday she spotted something she keen to experiment. All thanks to Nancy. Hopefully will be successful la and not like the crabstick project that she made two years ago.


Another project. D.I.Y. Money is never enough. Better D.I.Y la instead of buying since after Chinese New Year the decorations will be thrown away anyway. 


The D.I.Y. idea came from Xiao Ying . We received CNY card and goodies from her yesterday. The card was just a normal card but she decorated it nicely with plum flowers and chop with nice chops, making it stand out. Thank you very much Xiao Ying.

well, that's all for now. Back to the project.....opsss....ya one more thingy....

 
Got myself a McD Vanilla Sundae Cone coz my Ting Xie(spelling) 100% correct. But when Mamarazzi saw the book....cheh...simple words...already learn much harder words in kindergarten leh. No wonder can get 100%.

    Noooo, don't throw.. But don't habiskan all yourself, coz like mamarazzi said, too sweet and cannot eat too much leh.. Pack into nice plastic bags and give to neighbours? I'm sure everyone likes to have nian gao and to get it from a nice neighbour like mamarazzi, sure everyone likes and wants, right..

      very ugly wor ...only 1-2 nice. Thought the two nice balik kampung use punya. The rest ugly..given 3 to my ex-colleague. He loves Nian Gao and doesn't mind ugly. The rest...dunno what to do

    yalor.. money really not enough lah.. if got the time and ability to do things at home, then by all means.. see Mamarazzi already accomplished so many projects from fried arrowhead chips to nian gao, and now what?? want to start a new one already woh.. one week to CNY, how much can Mamarazzi do?? and did Small Kucing help around??

    wah, nian gao!!! to Uncle SK, that's something so difficult to make at home lah, maybe making it is not tough but then to make it successfully must be only what experts or professionals may achieve.. but looking at the second attempt from Mamarazzi, already progressed to advanced level if not expert.. errr, the not nice one ah?? cut into nice shapes and maybe they will look more presentable lah, don't throw away lah..

    spring roll skin?? hmmm, maybe Mamarazzi is going to make those small little sambal rolls or serunding rolls ke?? aiyoh, need to fry again woh.. then Mamarazzi must drink more water leh, if not later too heaty and need to drink Ho Yan Ho again woh.. especially today is Thirstday ah, must drink more water.. muahahaha!!! lame joke i know.. :D

    wah.. so nice of 小影 to send Mamarazzi and Small Kucing those very special handmade cards and CNY goodies.. Uncle SK also dapat, but then Mr Postman came to deliver yesterday during lunchtime and nobody was in office to receive dei.. so Uncle SK can only "preview" here and then probably only can go and collect on weekends leh.. haiz!!! everytime also when people not around only they want to deliver~~

    fuyoh, got 100% for ting xie ah?? and got sundae cone as rewards somemore.. aiyoh, then if got test or exam with good results then need to have bigger rewards lor.. Mamarazzi don't spoil Small Kucing too much ah, must tell him: "get 100% in ting xie is your responsibility, the rewards are just bonus and not compulsory and you should not take it for graned" okay?? but even Mamarazzi also said the ting xie very easy woh, means really easy lah.. hahaha!! :D

    Well done in your Chinese dictation. A good treat. I love McD's ice cream too.

    I never really fancy nian gao but I do eat few pieces lah. Too sweet. Maybe give away to relatives? Or else later "berkulat", also sayang. Hehe.

    My mom also tried to make the crabstick project last year....it wasn't successful! I see your ninko comes in 4 sizes...S, M, L & XL!! :D I don't eat that coz there's way too much sugar (like you said).
