It was a rainy evening....cold ah.... hungry. Hmmm...one of the ust when go Cameron Highland is Steamboat lor...there are many steamboat restaurants around ....so just need to pakai hentam la... Saw this steamboat restaurant and there was a empty parking space right in front of it as another car had just drove away...okay...this one la.
They have this steamboat buffet...RM25 per person if Mamarazzi recall correctly. Buffet is for the vegetables and noodles only lah but still okay for us.
Portion for 2 person. Quite a lot also.
Just dump everything into the soup. They have herbal soup, normal clear soup and tom yam soup. Ahem ahem..no tomato soup ka? Heard from Uncle TM that Tomato soup very sedap wor
Apalagi..... eat while it's still warm... hungry liao la...
After eating, we decided to drive around and see if there are anything opened that day...usually the Pasar malam (night market) opens weekend only but mamarazzi spotted some stall are open despite that day not a weekend.
Brrrrrr...cold ah...raining ah....
Eksyen wanna take photo pulak....playing in the rain....
Spotted some cactus and succulents RM10 for 7 pots... wahhhh.....in KL RM10 for 3 pots only leh....Some places RM5 a pot... So cheap here.... bought 7 pots...then walk around some more....then regretted coz saw some other stall selling RM10 for 8 pots! Arghhhhhh!!!
There are plenty of display rack too for the cactus. Price around RM10 and above. Didn't buy any. Coz waiting and see maybe other place the price will be cheaper.
Okay...here is the address of the steamboat restaurant just in case you are a fan of eating loads and loads of vegetables...fresh vegetable : -
No. 10, Brinchang, Jalan Besar, 39100 Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia
Nice! I was just telling my dear I haven't been to Cameron Highlands in a long time and I wanted to eat their steamboat coz last time vegetables are free - you can eat as much as you want. Good to hear that's still the case.
ReplyDeleteBut my dear said got landslide so she didn't want to go. Haha.
Oh well, we can go next time. We did buy some plants over the weekend too, including one sunflower. :)
Now I want to be there. Here is so hot! Sweating. Haha.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love following along behind you when you go to these places!! SO interesting to this Texas gal!!! My friend who is living in Malaysia just loves it! BUT she is homesick and wants to move back to Texas!!
ReplyDeleteHey, your mamarazzi has bionic eyes. 4 leaves also she nampak! UFO hovering above also she nampak. Muahahaha
ReplyDeleteThe steamboat is very cheap for just RM25 per head. I love to eat them often.
ReplyDeleteYour meat-free steamboat is quite good also lah but I still prefer with some meat or fish. If not I will get hungry again.
ReplyDeleteoooh, this time Mamarazzi didn't mention this is a "basi post", so let us all just assume this one is a very recent, straight from the oven post lah, hahaha!! shhhhh~~~
ReplyDeleteoooh, Mamarazzi found a 4-leaf clover!! that means very lucky for her leh, usually 3-leaf are common but if you can spot a 4-leaf means can go and buy 4D already.. but Mamarazzi didn't buy 4D that day, instead she went hunting for steamboat and found a nice parking lot right in front of the restaurant leh.. so that's lucky la~~ :)
ReplyDeleteeih, the concept not bad woh.. you order the meat and stuffs by portion but then the veggie and noodles are all free-flow.. somemore in Cameron woh, must try to eat the veggie there mah, all freshly grown and harvested on the spot and shipped to all places nationwide.. the veggie must be fresher and crunchier and juicier in Cameron.. :)
ReplyDeleteeih, raining ah?? sure very cold lah, but how come Mamarazzi didn't let Small Kucing put on a jacket ah?? rushing to Cameron after school and forgotten to bring kot?? hehehe.. anyway, maybe after steamboat dinner and walk walk a bit at the pasar malam will feel warmer lor..
ReplyDeleteLots of greens, and I love the colourful umbrella! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom what I search from net, three-leaved are very common and known as shamrock, but as four-leaved is known as clover. Four leaves indicates luck cause it's very rare to find and see. So Mamarazzi is very lucky indeed.
ReplyDeleteOooo...a 4-leaf clover! Did you pluck it and keep? Will bring good luck wor...strike 4D, win lots of money, can come to Sibu again. :D
ReplyDeletevegetable buffet? sounds like vegan buffet. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice to have steamboat on a cold weather...
ReplyDeleteEh, if you spot a four leaf clover means you are going to get some very good luck soon! Eating steamboat on a cold rainy day must be super delicious! See cheaper cactus must buy another ten ringgit worth to average the price down.
ReplyDeleteSteamboat on a rainy day sure is nice. :)
ReplyDeleteI see your steamboat, I wanna cook some already.. but who is going to do it for me leh??? :)
ReplyDeleteSmall kucing, that's a clover leave. According to folklore, if you find a clover leave with 4 leaves on it, it brings you good luck
ReplyDeleteHaven't been to Cameron Highlands in the longest years. Wonder if there's any change.... xoxo
ReplyDeleteSteamboat indeed for the rainy season. Been ages since I've been to Cameron and hopefully a trip is possible soon.
ReplyDeleteI never knew people buy cactus from Cameron Highlands too! Thought it is always vegetables, strawberries and teh Boh only >.< ...
ReplyDeleteSecure a parking at CM can be quite challenging, u r so lucky, got a parking lot right in front! I miss CH, I love going there borong the fresh vegetables especially the sweet corn!
ReplyDeleteRM10 for 8 pots of cactus? So cheap! Good thing I didn't buy any yet. Here is RM10 for 3 pots only. I will have to wait for my Cameron trip to buy my cactus. Lol!
ReplyDeleteWah go Cameron ya? One of my favorite place to go! Love the weather, and nice and fresh strawberry!!
ReplyDeleteI remember I was at Cameron Highlands last year at this time of the month. And, yes it was raining too and it was great to have something warm like steamboat!
