Mama Crap...oppss...Crabs

Saw the Indian Lady selling crabs at the roadside again. We also went and buy some la. Not bad la. RM28/kg for medium size one. Got like 6 crabs.

Alamak..so many what to do ah...

Then Mamarazzi thought okay la...some use to make Crab Fried bihun. Saw the shop put some garlic and ginger and fry aje mah.

Some just plain steam la

About half an hour later...jeng jeng jeng...looks like Pondam Steamed Crabs or not? Papa said it taste like Pondan Crabs wor.. Guess not pondan la since all the 6 crabs have a lot of eggy one.

Jeng Jeng Jeng.....Crab fried bihun...or rather crabs legs fried bihun coz Mamarazzi throw in all the crabs legs.

Taste...hmmm...no crab taste geh...hmmm...maybe have to boil the crab then use the water to fry the bihun ah? Wonder how Auntie Elin would do it.

Meantime ..AAAAAAaaHHHHhh.....

Yummy Crabs...want or not? See next time can spot the Indian Lady again or not

Failures and Triumph

Last weekend, Mamarazzi had frying frenzy again. This round much more fun coz Auntie Florence and Uncle Patrick came and join in the fun.
First they fried the Arrowhead Chips. Turn up a tad too oily and the colour not that nice.

Mamarazzi was not satisfied on how the chips turn out. She sent an S.O.S to Auntie Elin who responded equally quick and directed her to Table For 2 blog which explain why the chips are oily and colour uneven.

Snap! Snap! must take photo of this home cook disaster.

Then they went and fried Lotus Root Chips pulak(on the left). The LRC was a disaster. Used the wrong Lotus Root. Must use the ones for cooking soup one. Mamarazzi used the ones for frying vegetable ones.

At first very syok wor. Throw into the wok, the Lotus Root size was as big as 50sen coin. But by the time, it's cooked...they turned into the size of 10sen coin. Pathetic. No wonder these chips are so expensive in the shops. Takes to much to get a handful. Worse than frying Ngaku.

Once again Auntie Elin came to the rescue with this video. Thank you very much, Auntie Elin. Hopefully next round we will be successful.

On the bright side, one experiment  was successful.

Then Mamarazzi found 5 small pieces of Sweet Potatoes. That one she also wanna experiment. Hmm...result was pretty good. For the 5 small sweet potatoes, she could get two small containers of chips. These chips taste good. Sweet and smells great.

Just too bad it's not viable as a Chinese New Year gift. I guess you know why, right? Sweet Potatoes is called Fan Shu in Cantonese, which also can mean "stupid". Worse still if you say "Planting Sweet Potatoes" which practically means "go die".

Gosh...if kena people who are superstitious,...*horrified* sure kena cursed upside down by them.

Shh...I over heard that they are planning another round of frying marathon soon

The Children's Life of Christ-Mary And The Angel

Last week the story stopped at Mary was hoping that the King would be born soon.

Mary had also often heard story about angel appearing and she loves the tales.

One day when she was up the hill, an Angel appeared to her. She was scared at first and surprised as she did not expect to ever have an Angel appear to her.

Gosh...lets hope the Angel didn't look like this mannequin.

Anyway the Angel came to tell her a wonderful news. Mary will have a son and she is to name him Jesus. He shall a King . A great King who will reign over his people forever. Even greater than King David.

Mary was surprised. She asked how can that be as she is still a girl and not married yet.

The Angel told her that it shall be the Son of God, a holy child. He further told her that her cousin Elizabeth who is an old woman shall have a baby son too.(Gosh..I can hear someone laughing)

Mary was very happy and could hardly believe it that she, a village girl has been selected to have this honour.

During spring time, Mary went to see her cousin, Elizabeth. Elizabeth greeted her with joy for she also knew that Mary is to be the mother of Jesus. Elizabeth then told her that she is pregnant and shall have a son of her own. The baby name is to be John.

When Mary got back to her village, Joseph asked for her hand in marriage. Joseph knew her secret for an Angel had told him so. Hence Mary married Joseph and they patiently waited for the arrival of the Son of God.

I walked Lover Bridge and I Borong-ed Goodies.

After makan, I discovered this plant just outside the restaurant wor...Snap photo with my imaginary camera first.

Didn't know that Ladies Finger plant have yellow flower and the "Lady Finger" is pointing upwards punya.  Interesting.

Click ! Click! wah...got some more Nong Nang.

Wah...so many "Tak Boleh" when walking on the "Lovers Bridge". Eh eh eh...can hold hands wor...too bad my Dear not around or else....

Ah Yee say take photo...so I also "pose" la....

My M.J. (Ming Juan) pose. Must grab "birdie" one.

Got Jie Jie Yen to hold my hands. I was not afraid. I wanna go there!

Saw many things...tiang lampu (hahaha), tonggol kayu, a boat, fishes and a crab. Wow...saw a type of fish that can "walk" on land too...and its not "water fish".

Finally came to the end of the bridge. Eee...scary...can feel the bridge swaying one. Mamarazzi too chicken. Stand far far away and zoom zoom zoom the camera to snap our photo.

Came back on "land". Saw a shop selling chapalang goodies. Very festive also. Ooo...they also sell pau.

Alamak...is this supposed to the the God of Fortune? Looks more like Opera Ghost pulak. Scary. A girl mannequin dress with God of Fortune baju.

I can see a lot of Lolipop outside the house and seashells too.

Mamarazzi bought one for me a lolipop while Papa drove us to buy Pau from the famous Hai Yew Heng Pau shop.

Alamak...price naik already ah? Looks like naik 20sen as compared to last round. The Sang Yuk Pau used to be RM2..now become RM2.20. Hmm..like that I am better off by eating Dai Pau in KL. Only cost around RM3 to RM3.50.

I wanted to have Tau Sar Pau but then it was all sold off. Mamarazzi went to the opposite stall to get some for me. Haiz...the man jaga the pau stall was quite "particular". Asked Mamarazzi want for what? If wanna tapau back, have to buy from the kilang.

Wah lau eh...kasi him business also have terms and conditions ones ah?

Mamarazzi read in a blog that the goreng goreng and kuih there are nice. She bought two dumplings. Inside have "sengkuang" . Mahal lor...RM1 each. Papa ate. Said nothing special pun.

Papa also walloped a Mui Chai Pau but found it very oily this round.

Upon hearing this, Mamarazzi was not satisfied. She pestered Papa to drive back to the Lover Bridge to get some Mr Black Pao.

This one is Mr Black Pao. Mui Chai Pao. Size bigger than the HYH Pau. Less oily. Price was RM1.80 or RM2. Mamarazzi forgot already coz she bought a few type of Pau from this stall.
Not bad. She loves the Curry Chicken Pau.

But the Char Siew Pau was not that good. The Char Siew was too hancur. I think next round we go Tg Sepat, will go look for this Mr Black Pao instead. Less crowds.

Went to Tangjung Sepat again with my Yee Yee and her family. Again we makan at Lover Bridge Restaurant.

Bought some super sweet "jambu" from the orchard. One big packet for RM6 only. Think it's more than 1kg in there.

As we were waiting for the food to be served, a lady selling ocean products came.

WOw...so many goodies. Mamarazzi of course "borong-ed" the fishball. Immediately opened a packet to eat there and then.

Since we bought many packet of fishball, the lady gave use complimentary Pickled Kedondong to eat. Ah Yee seems to loves it

My little cousin adorable or not?

 There! food food food...

Fried sotong. Sure Auntie Little Bird drool again.

Lala Fried Bihun. Most satisfying but portion rather small.

Haiz...what else but Oh Chien. Hmm...this round the oyster a bit small la. Oyster on diet kot?

 HongKong Sawi. Not bad. Sweet.

Last but not least, sweet and sour Crabs. Hmm...size of the crabs also rather small but not bad la. At least it's fresh.

Total bill comes up to RM90+ for 4 adults and 4 kids. Not bad lah.
