To Infinity and Umbai!

After exploring the room, of course ler time to go To Infinity and ...swimming!

Yup...Casa Del Rio Melaka have a swimming pool called the Infinity Pool.

Why Infinity Pool?Well....errr....no need to explain gua. Only kids pool have boundary. The adult side seems to stretch to infinity.

 Great view of the river.

Can see Menara Taming Sari and the big big ship from the pool.

Great pool side service too. Complimentary drinks.

Evening time.....time to hunt for fish...oppss...food.

Growing very "tall" liao.....gonna need more than 3 seats if I were to sleep comfortably...

Last round we went to Umbai too but at another part. This round we went to  Perkampungan Ikan Bakar Terapung , Umbai, Melaka

Sleeeppy...why so fast arrived  geh....I haven;t have enough of my beauty sleep yet leh.

Stir fried kangkung RM6. A bit salty but just nice if eat with rice.

Fried Sotong(Squid). Based on seasonal price. This plate costed us RM12.06. Yummy.

Papa had Kerang(Clam?)...Alamak..portion so big though asked for small portion.  Big, sweet and fresh. RM8

Mamarazzi actually wanted Kepah(mussel?) but ter-ordered Lala( smaller type of Mussel). This one was RM12.

She did not enjoy it much coz some of the Lala still have a bit of sand in it. Guess, this proves the Lala are fresh coz if the Lala have been in the water long time, the sands would have been washed out already.

I also want a Kerang la.

Eh....why nothing inside ?

See...empty...naughty Papa...ate the kerang already and gave me empty shell. But I really enjoyed playing with the shell la.

Mamarazzi wanted Ikan Bakar(Grilled Frish).  This was the tiniest fish...but still very big hor? Ikan Jenak based on seasonal price. This one was 800gm , cost us RM28. Fresh.

Wah...the sauce for the fish was super-duper spicy. Yumm Yumm according to her.

My "relatives" must have smelled the nice fragrant of the seafood. They came to "tumpang makan".

Over ordered again....

While waiting for Papa and Mamarazzi finish makan, I played with the shells. My new "lego" .

Here is the address if you wish to have a try of the seafood :

Perkampungan Ikan Bakar Terapung, Umbai Baru, Melaka
Tel: 017-2305691 | Fax: 62610181

The stall that we went to was Umbai Grill Fish, No 1, Ikan Bakar Terapung Umbai, 77300 Merlimau Melaka Tel : 017-2843077

The Luxurious and Friendly Casa Del Rio, Malacca

Do you still remember the prize we won from Shirley's Luxury Haven blog last year? It was a 2D1N stay plus breakfast for two at Casa Del Rio, Melaka.

Haven't got the chance to utilised the voucher last year. It was going to expire this month end. Fortunately, the reservation process was very easy and pleasant thanks to Miss Suraya of Casa Del Rio, Melaka.

That was the reason we went to Malacca.

Gosh! there are so many wonderful review about this hotel and Mamarazzi can say that after staying here, the reviews are all true. It was super-duper nice, clean and friendly. No wonder someones handphone dropped into the toilet here also don't feel "geli" to pick it up again.

When we arrived, we were rather surprised to find there is no "big" check-in counters. Just two modest desks.

At the mention of the word "check-in", the lady at the desk immediately led us to the Cabana for our Welcome drinks. We were very surprised as in other hotel, the welcome drinks would only be served after they took our particulars.

I thought it's the swimming pool but it's not. Gosh...so cooling.

In a short moment, this pretty lady came with a tray. Passed us a cool towel each. Then scope Ginger and Lime Sorbets for us.

Wow.....So pretty. "Welcome Home, Chung Kathy" the sign says.

The Ginger and Lime Sorbet was so refreshing

While enjoyed our refreshing sorbet, the Lady took Papa and Mamarazzi's particulars to process. Just as we finished our drink, she came back and lead us to our room.

During the "journey", she took the time to show/informed us about the place to dine, the infinity swimming pool, bar, gym , SPA and stuffs like that.

Arriving our room, she showed us the things they have there.

There was a Welcome note on the table and found this Onde-Onde with a short note "Onde-onde, The tradisional welcome of a "Peranakan" delicacy made with rice flour and a centre of liquid Palm Sugar Coated with fresh desiccated coconut."

Milk....Muhahaha...This one would be MINE!

The hall leading to the bedroom

Real thick mattress and super comfy.

Lovely balcony overlooking the cooling Courtyard. Great place to sit down to read a book or play some games.

Also good for a romantic candlelight dinner...

Work desk for those who needs one. Complete with WiFi and stuffs like that

Found this book on the shelf. Mamarazzi read it before. Good book to read about "Peranakan" .

Mamarazzi found little things like these makes the stay more comfortable and warm. It's like they want guests to know more about the history of the place and feel at home. At least, guests especially foreign ones would know more about Malaysian culture.

Also found a sort of diary liked book on the shelf where various staffs from the hotel wrote about their experience there and suggested a few places where the guests could visit in Malacca. They also encouraged Guests to pen down their experience in the book as a guide to other Guests. But Mamarazzi didn't write anything there.

Mmm...instead of coffee and tea in sachets, they provide it in jars and even have a teapot to brew the Tea and Coffee.

Don't you just love the real thing instead of those that comes in sachets?

Found this "Buku 555" on the night table with a sweet informative note.

It impressed Mamarazzi much. Not only hotel is a place to spend the night but it also dispensing information and educate the new generation.

But what I like is the spacious Bathroom.

I had a wonderful time exploring.

Running in and out ...here and there.
'
The toiletries. Lotion, shampoo and conditioner came in jars.

Even have bath Salt and Hand Made Cinnamon Soap.

You know what? They even have a yellow Rubber Duckie for me!

There is a saying that goes like this "The way to a man heart is through his tummy". But in this case, "The way to a mother's heart is through her children". The Rubber Duckie crunch the deal for Mamarazzi. Yup...she love this place.

Here Rubber duckie!!! Come "swim" with me.

Wow...it's like am having a BIG swimming pool in the room for myself.

Time for a comfy nap with my stinky Lamb Lamb before visiting the infinity swimming pool. I wonder how it look like. ...to infinity and beyond......Well, I did say that this trip I "swim" a lot.

Once again, thank you to Shirley from Luxury Haven( http://luxuryhaven.blogspot.sg/2012/06/giveaway-luxurious-stay-for-2-worth-rm1000-at-casa-del-rio-melaka.html)having the contest and Casa Del Rio , Melaka (http://www.casadelrio-melaka.com/) for the warm welcome.

Disclaimer : This is not a paid post and we were not required to write a review of our stay at Casa Del Rio, Melaka as condition on winning the prize. All opinion and comments here are based on our own experience solely.

Incomplete-d?

Adei...kiddie Year 5 a lot of homework every day leh.

Not bad la the homework...if the teacher gives proper instruction.

But if incomplete instruction really gets me stumped leh..what am I supposed to fill in the brackets? I asked Mamarazzi, she also doesn't know .

hence got "incompleted" homework lor....hmmmm...is there such word as "INCOMPLETED"? well...there must be gua else Cikgu wouldn't write it down in my exercise book. I know la...Mamarazzi always have grammar and typo error in this blog but surely Cikgu cannot be wrong gua?

SIgh....what missing numbers leh? Can call police to report the numbers missing ka? Or maybe like someone suggested that the Cikgu is kaki number...buy RM2 (Small) RM9 (Big)?

The other day after I finished my homework, I want Mamarazzi to check them for me.

I asked Mamarazzi whether I can "THROW" the book to her. She said "NO! not supposed to throw books".

Funny...but why my Maths Cikgu throw books to us  when she wanna return the books to us geh? Ish...these adults really funny.. one say cannot throw books but another throwing books...bikin tak serupa cakap.

Nadeje and McDonald.

Check out from the hotel but there is still one more hour to burn before check-in to another hotel. Where to go leh....well...since last round we did not really get to taste the food at Nadeje properly, Papa decided to drop by the shop for a taste.

Unfortunately the queue was very long again. Even to Take away also have to queue up.  We opt for take away.

Anyway, an unpleasant incident happened. Don't think will ever go there again.

Here are our take away. Two slices of crepe. Very considerate of them to put in a packet of ice to keep it cool. People can tapau without fear of their crepe having a meltdown.

That's how I ended up at McDonald which is two doors away. Here no queue. Cooling air-cond. and most of all got Playland for me.

If you asked me which one would I choose...i would say McD coz they have the Playland and Curly Fries that I love the most.

Meantime, Papa and Mamarazzi had the crepe.

Papa's Tiramisu Crepe.

Mamarazzi's Rum and Raisin Crepe

Ouch! who poke my bum bum?

Is it you?

Sigh...too soon it was time to make a move pulak...go to another hotel.......
