Lovely Stay at Kinta Riverfront Hotels and Suites, Ipoh.

As you know, we check-out from previous hotel and went to Taiping. But we didn't stay in Taiping. We went back to Ipoh. 

Papa booked Kinta Riverfront Hotel & Suites through Agoda. It was just RM190 inclusive of Buffet Breakfast for two, free WiFi  and they have s swimming pool here.

 Come on! Faster. I wanna go swimming liao.

Wow..it's not even school holidays and so many people is checking into this hotel. By the way, that is the Keropok that I bought from Kuala Sepetang. Planning to eat them while watching TV with Papa.

 Eh eh...the lift can see thru. Up up and away we go!

 I love it...Came into the room and found so many "buttons" for me to press.

Press press....kena Papa scolded. DON'T Press CLEANING.

 Clean and spacious room. But I don't wanna linger here. I wanna go play water!!!

 Look ahead! Pool in front!

 My first time up close with a "see thru" pool. Alamak! If swimming and suddenly my swimming pants tertanggal how ah?

Papa must be thinking too bad nobody wearing bikini.

 Ah...kiddy pool no see thru.

 Kiddie pool was a bit small. But I don;t mind. I just wanna play water. Can't swim yet.

 Hmm... in a few months time this view would be perfect at night. Looks like they are constructing some walkways downstairs. Maybe a river walk?

 Meantime, I enjoyed myself playing water. Splash!!!

 Eeee...the water is pretty cold.

Mamarazzi like it here very much. Only one down side. We went to the pool twice and both times, nobody was manning the towel counter and the lockers. It would be better and safer if there is a staff there. At least if anybody had accident in the pool, the staff can help.

After a good "swim", I was hungry. But Papa and Mamarazzi were tired. So I had to eat "keropok" and watch TV while they rest before we headed out looking for good food to eat.

WeChat, a free, fun multimedia communication app

Come...come nearer, let me tell you something...

Mamarazzi managed to get Papa to buy her a smartphone for her birthday a couple of months ago, and she's been quite an addict ever since. These days, Mamarazzi use her smartphone for a lot of things. She not only use it to to send sms and make phone calls, but she also use it to online and read her emails.

Mamarazzi is not always tech-savvy, but ever since she heard that she can keep in touch with everyone for free by using various phone apps, she started to scout around for the perfect free app for her to use so that she can communicate with family and friends for free.

Not long ago, Mamarazzi was told that a smartphone app known as WeChat was launched in Zouk, Kuala Lumpur.

WeChat is a FREE multimedia communication app. It's originated from China and developed by Tencent, China's largest Internet service provider.

Among the features of this cool apps are:

• Text messaging
• Hold to talk voice messaging
• Broadcast messaging with extensive range of emoticon
  
• Photo/video sharing
• Location sharing
• Contact information exchange
• "Look Around", "Shake" and "Drift Bottle" function to discover new friends

WeChat is a pretty cool multimedia communication app, and it's really fun to use.

Mamarazzi likes it because it's free and she can use it to contact her friends from all over the world any time without getting charged a cent for it, while me, I love the drift function on the phone where I can write a virtual message and throw it out into the virtual sea of this apps and wait for someone to pick it up and make friends with me.

But there is just a tiny hiccup in this. My phone is not a smart phone. I had to "borrow" Mamarazzi phone to use We Chat. Christmas is coming soon. I wonder if Santa would bring me a smart phone, preferably Samsung SIII or its "relatives".

Late Lunch at Restaurant Tepi Sungai, Kuala Sepetang

After "bird watching" at Lake Garden, we proceed to Kuala Sepetang to have our late lunch.

It's a small town and some road were so narrow that our car had to pass by people's front door. 

Got lost but there was a very helpful boy who helped us to find the restaurant. Auntie Claire tried to give the boy some money for being so helpful but the boy refused to take. Hmm...that's small tow hospitality for you . So nice.

 

Mamarazzi was very puzzled as she saw nearly every house there have a BIG oil tank or is it water tank beside their house. But the mystery was resolved when we reached the restaurant.

Finally....the place that we were looking for.

 

Parking was a problem ....reverse reverse....

The ground floor of the restaurant is the place for fishermen to unload their catch of the day.

Upstairs, we were greeted by fresh seafood.

Proceed to the makan area.

 Amazing view....Hmmm no wonder there are tanks outside each house. Must be to store petrol for the boats.

 Refreshing Coconut water

Papa favourite but don't know why Papa did not eat much of these that day. Maybe too tired driving? Very BIG and tempting .

 Fried "spiders"

 Opps...not spiders ah? Baby crabs. Very crunchy. I "geli" wanna eat but the adults had it and said nice.

 These golden Mantou tasted great with the Crabs.

 Flowers Crabs but surprisingly very meaty.

 Not neglecting seafood noodles for me. They were really generous with the seafood there.

But I picked and ate the noodles only wor...

 Seong Thong(Superior Soup) Lala but surprisingly they gave too much soup. The Lala was fresh but the soup was a bit plain. It would be nice if they added a bit Gei Zhi and Chinese Cooking wine into the soup.

 Opps... nearly forgot.....Vege too. Very fresh too.

I Saw in Taiping.....

After our lunch, we headed out to the famous Lake Garden of Taiping

Saw this super strong man

Interesting Indian Temple. Noticed how beautiful are the statues.

If not mistaken, along the same road there is this Chinese Temple

And a mosque. This mosqye is called "Masjid Lama". Mamarazzi finds it fascinating as it does not have the dome like thing on top.

 

Instead its surrounded by this.

This tree reminds Mamarazzi of Enid Blyton's "The Faraway Tree" book

Hmmm.... why the tree branches all leaning towards the lake ya?

I can even go down and walk about the lake.
