It's No Fun Without Funds

I have this friend who works with children in suburban areas and children with learning difficulties. I’ve always held her in great admiration and I truly respect the way she’s able to handle these kids. It’s always amazing to see the way they respond to her and she seems to have the talent to bring out the best in them and have them believe that. Just the other day, she was telling me about how difficult it was becoming for her to travel to those areas without her own car. The sad thing is that her current financial status doesn’t allow her to secure a bank loan that easily, so my heart kind of just bled for her predicament. And then I read about auto title loan, which is a short term loan that is handed to auto car owners who’re facing difficulties financing their own car.

My friend is estatic at this opportunity and she told me she was going to try applying for one. After all, the repayment schedule seemed pretty flexible as long as she paid the minimum amount each month. Of course interest would be dependent on how much she still owes after each repayment, but I trust that she’ll have the discipline to control her finances with a tight fist so that she’ll be able to meet those payments and not get into greater debt. Thinking back, it’s a wonderful idea securing this title loan to help ease her worries so that she can continue serving those children with a lighter heart and a free mind.

Bibik House Cendol and a Walk at Jonkers Street.

Angry! Ditched by Mamarazzi. I was sleeping in the car and Mamarazzi ditched me. Papa waited in the car for me to wake up.

Mamarazzi went "shopping" at Jonkers street with Auntie Florence and Uncle Patrick. When I woke up, Papa brought me to go look for Mamarazzi.

Finally found her and we adjourned to Bibik House for their delicious Cendol

They even give the green thingy separately.

While everyone were enjoying the Cendol, I dig out what Mamarazzi bought from Jonker street. Got this "massage" thingy. Looks like a car.

 and this "Boxing hammer".

Mamarazzi bought this bottle if "cookies/biscuits/tidbits"(?) from Bibik House. Instead it's Chicken Floss. Tasted very good.

Papa and me polished off the whole bottle. Nothing left for Mamarazzi.

Papa reminded Mamarazzi to buy some Cincaluk. Can "experiment" at home.

If you wish to buy Cincalok from Jonkers Street, it is advisable for you to survey a few shop.

Mamarazzi noticed that the price varies a lot from one shop to another for a bottle of Cincaluk of the same size. One shop was selling RM4 per bottle while a shop two doors down the road was selling it for RM2-50 a bottle!.

This round she bought a container of Pineapple Tarts from LW Nyonya Pineapple Tarts House.

If her memory did not failed her, this box cost RM8. Worth every sens coz the taste suits her well. Regretted that she didn't buy more.

Ahem ahem...wonder if any Santa/Santarina going to bring some of this to KL......

Guess what are these? Spaghetti straps tops? Some one says it looks like bra while Papa said the swirls looks like condoms.

It's actually bags for ladies. Sadly, Mamarazzi noticed the tag says "Made in Thailand". She saw a lot of products in the knick knack shops are no longer products of our country.

What happen to "Barang Buatan Malaysia"? Retired like Dr. M?

Do head on to Anncoo Journal. She is having a GIVEAWAY (*hint hint Auntie Little Bird*). Aiyo....her Cakes Cups there is out of this world!!!! Go now and join! Even if don't win, at least will learn some baking tips from her.

From Italy With Love

After having the HUGE lunch, we went to Italy pulak.

Ahem...at least Italy Bakery lah.  Auntie Florence heard that this bakery is famous for a type of cake.

Off I went to hunt for it. Hmmm...too bad it was fully sold off. Alamak...forgotten what was the name of the cake.

End up Auntie Florence bought this Swiss Rolls.

Which I "Curi-ed" to eat when I was hungry in the car. Taste pretty good. Yummm.

Mamarazzi bought these Pineapple Tarts. She said it's a bit too sweet for her but I love it. Auntie Little Bird also love it.

Hopefully next time we will managed to buy the name-forgotten-cake lah.

Shange Dim Sum Home Food, Seri Petaling

Early October a friend treated us for dinner at Shange Dim Sum Home Food, in Seri Petaling.

The restaurant was very new. So new that they didn't even have time to take out the price tag from the bowl that the waiter brought to our table.(LOL)

Papa and Mamarazzi had their special Pandan Lemongrass Tea. Very refreshing.

I had Ice Blended Ribena.

There were some confusion on the drinks and food that we ordered coz the staffs there were pretty new and that time they were preparing for the dinner crowd. But then it's expected for new shop. Bet they would improve in due course.

Papa ordered Fried Carrot Cake WITHOUT cili. The waiter said ok ok but in the end comes out with Cili. However, they did change it for us.

Portion of food was just nice for small eater.

Had some Steamed Pork Rib while waiting for our order to come.

We had their Steamboat. The ingredient is ordered ala carte. Something like Johnny's Steamboat.

These were some of the things we ordered.

Cute bird/chicken/swan. After a "swim" in the Steamboat pot, it grew to be very BIG.

Some mushrooms and vegetables

Oh ya...we had crabs too but some how the crab photos gone missing from the camera.

Ordering the ingredient ala carte was a bit pricey in Mamarazzi's opinion.

However, it was worth it coz the Steamboat soup here was really good. It was very sweet. Guess everyone knows that a good soup based is very important for Steamboat.

Here is the address if your should wish to try out their good Steamboat Soup. No 91, Jalan Radin Bagus, Seri Petaling, 57000 Kuala Lumpur Tel: 03-90581322.

Sport Shoes Year End Sale at Section 27, Shah Alam (6-18 December 2011)

Are we there yet? It has been very long time since Mamarazzi went crazy warehouse sale chasing. Usually it's books but this round it's different.

My "Bigfoot" have been growing very fast and am running out of shoes to wear.

Hence, Mamarazzi pestered Papa to drive us to the Sport Shoes Sale which she saw in ShoppingnSales website. The brands offered were Adidas, Admiral, Axel , Puma, New Balance and Zeita.

(sorry for the poor quality of photo as Mamarazzi snapped using her handset)

Apart from shoes, they have other products too like tumbler, clothing, watches, school bags, bags, socks, badminton racket and etc.

Mamarazzi noticed that the clothing were not that cheap. Anyway, her main purpose is to get a pair or two of shoes for me.

By the end of the hour,  she got a WHOLE BASKET of shoes and sandals for me and Papa!!!

In the car I asked Papa, so many shoes how to wear?

But Mamarazzi can't help herself coz the shoes were dirt cheap. New Balance Brand shoes were RM5 a pair. Then Admiral brand were RM25 for adults.

Kids shoes lagi best....RM10 a pair only!!!

The most expensive shoes there was Adidas. RM120 a pair. But it's considered cheap coz if buy from the store it would surely be more than this price.

My Axel sandals at RM10 a pair.

Four pairs of various sized shoes for me at RM10 a pair. Why all similar colours ah? Coz when Mamarazzi asked me which one I liked, I kept pointing to the brown and blue. Not keen on others.

 Mamarazzi's shoes at RM15 a pair.

The rests are Papa's and his friends shoes at RM25 a pair.

It certainly worth the trip. It's nice going there on the first day coz there are many choice and sizes to choose from.

Here is the address should you be interested in getting some shoes for yourselves Lot 20 Jalan Pendamar 27/90, Section 27, Shah Alam. Tel number from ShoppingnSales website is 03-5191 1998.

Better go fast before they run out of choices and size.

And my "achievement" for the day is that I managed to build a "bungalow" in between my eyes.

Dah la pain-pain...kena Papa and Mamarazzi scolded pulak for putting my eyes in my bum bum instead of my face.

Book Addicts Tried To Break In USJ2 Community Hall?

Last Sunday we went for the Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme.

I was so sleepy that I fell asleep in the car. Missed out all the fun and excitement.

It seems that the Organisers arrived to the Community Hall with a nasty surprise waiting for them.

They tried to open the lock to the door but something had gone admiss.

They can't get it opened. It seems that someone had tampered with the lock. Could be an attempt to break in?

Maybe an addict....book addicts? Could it be that the book addicts trying to get into the Hall to steal all the books for there is nothing else of much value to steal from the Hall apart from a few chairs and tables.

Thanks to the hero of the day, James, who managed to get the door opened in the end.

There are a lot of interesting books there.

There were some pleasant present surprises waiting for those book hunters .

Found some books wrapped in colourful present papers with tag that says "Adopt A Book For Xmas!"

Mamarazzi could guess whose clever idea this is.

As usual, the Organiser and some regulars came arms with refreshment. Yummy Nyonya Kuih!.

Mamarazzi found these two interesting looking book at the exchange.

Auntie Fay recommended Sherrilyn Kenyon books to Mamarazzi. Said it's very good.

Further digging, Mamarazzi found this book. I bet Auntie Little Bird will be jealous. She loves this sort of books.

A million thanks to Jie Jie Nylusmilk for keeping these four books for Mamarazzi.

"The Flower Drum Song" should be very good as Mamarazzi heard some members praise this book.

Mamarazzi"adopted" this book. Will open it on Boxing Day.

Hhmmmm....apa boxing boxing...Christmas Tree pun belum set up.

Any kind soul wanna help Mamarazzi to set up the Christmas Tree?
