A Disappointment, A Bookalicious Treat and A Surprise.

Last week Mamarazzi saw Inspired Momx1 blogged about Popular Warehouse Sale happening at the Summit USJ from 18 Nov to 28 Nov 2011.

She thought of going there last Sunday coz we were going for the Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme, so might as well drop by Summit.

However, we didn't go to the Summit coz Mamarazzi was horrified by all the cars queueing up from the main road to go into the Summit.

We finally went to the Popular Warehouse Sale on Monday afternoon. Not many people there. Half the space located for English books and the other half was for Chinese books.

Mamarazzi browse around and was disappointed by the selection on English books and kids books.

There were some English fictions that she was interested in but even after 70% to 80% discount, the price were still high for her budget.

She calculated that the prices for the books that she were interested were similar to books sold at Normal Price in BookXcess. Guess, she has been too pampered by BookXcess, Book Tree and the Big Bad Wolf Sale gua.

After browsing for more than half an hour, she only managed to buy these two books.

China Ghost was around RM12 while Golden Boy was around RM18 after 70% discount and 50% discount respectively.

Hearing Mamarazzi is going to the Summit, Nylusmilk told Mamarazzi about Bookalicious.

Actually Mamarazzi know about this shop long ago. Been there once. That time, Mamarazzi was not really impressed with the shop because the offer at that time was not that attractive.

Well, since this shop is just a few step away from the Popular Warehouse Sale venue, Mamarazzi decided to drop by and look see look see. She didn't plan to buy anything coz she was saving for the BBWS Aftermath sale happening this 24th to 28th of November 2011.

However, Mamarazzi end up coming out of the shop with TWO paper bags full of books!

Bookalicious is having sale too till 28th Novmber 2011. Check out their Facebook for the delicious promotion.

While Mamarazzi was busy book hunting, Papa and me were busy too. Unknown to her, we were busy getting a surprise for Mamarazzi.

As Mamarazzi came into OldTown Kopitiam, I presented her with this lovely bouquet of 12 roses and said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

Mamarazzi was puzzled...huh? birthday? what birthday? Papa had taught me to say  "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" but I silap cakap.

Aiyoyo....it had completely skipped Mamarazzi's mind that yesterday was Papa and Mamarazzi's wedding Anniversary. Terbalik Papa remembered but not Mamarazzi. Piak! Mamarazzi.

After presenting Mamarazzi with the roses, I started to dig what's in the bags.

Wah....so many things for me! But Mamarazzi said wait till go home baru can open.

Meantime, Papa ordered some more food and drinks for Mamarazzi.

Earlier I polished off whole bowl of Chicken Hor Fun all by myself.

Papa had some Roti Pratha

Ooo...nice nice...I can have "celup celup" with it.

Mamarazzi had this delicious bowl of Prawn Noodles.

After makan, we came home and I started to dig out the stuffs there.

Mamarazzi simply LOVE the paper bags. Very beautiful with a small card hanging at the handle. I bet it would be a nice bag to put Christmas present in to give to friends.
I found a box of "My First Learning Sets" which consist of 4 books and a CD in the bag. Surprisingly it's only RM14-90.

Mamarazzi also bought two boxes of Jigsaw Puzzle for me. The box is a carry-in type of box. Very cute.

There are 28 pieces in each box. Quality is quite good. It only cost Rm12-90 a box.

She also bought some flash cards for me at RM15-50

For herself, she picked up this book for only RM9-90.

Then she spotted this gem. She had been wishing for this book since the book came out but the price was too high at that time.

Mamarazzi saw that it's going for RM24-90 at Bookalicious but was rather disappointed to see the sticker says "Buy 2 Free 1".

The Cashier spotted Mamarazzi's dilemma and she told Mamarazzi that they are having a promotion currently. They are giving 35% discount for those books with the blue stickers from now till 28th November and customer is not obliged to buy 2 books. Customer can buy 1 book and still enjoy the discount.

Wah...Mamarazzi was so happy! That means after discount the book is only rm16 plus! What a bargain!

There was a young man who is attached to Bookalicious. Not sure whether it's staffs or one of the owners.

Maybe he saw Mamarazzi was looking for bargain books or that Mamarazzi was holding "The Thorn of The Lion City"; but what ever it was he approached Mamarazzi with this Adeline Yeh Mah's book. He suggested maybe Mamarazzi would like this book and it's RM9-90 only.

Apalagi! of course Mamarazzi like that book. Hmmm...very observant of the young man to know that Mamarazzi like books related to asian.

Another interesting book that Mamarazzi spotted and bought.

The young man approached Mamarazzi again and introduced Mamarazzi to a section full of books about China from Literature, fiction and biography.

Aiyo...Mamarazzi spotted "The Romance of 3 Kingdoms" in English priced at RM100. It's one of the books in her Wish List. She really itchy wanna buy but the see it's Vol 2. Hmm...means she'll have to go find Vol I. Lazy lah...so she didn't buy.

She managed to grab this Madame Chiang Kai Shek book for only RM19-90. She knows someone who have been drooling for this book long time already. Just nice as Christmas pressie for that someone.
When she went to the counter to pay for the purchases, she was pleasantly surprised that the young lady at the counter gave her 4 pieces of bookmarks and 4 pieces of pockets calenders.

Wah so generous. Tak mintak terus bagi and so sekaligus so many pulak. The young lady was very friendly.

Mamarazzi would certainly go there again if they are going to have more promotion like this which does not make it compulsory for customer to "Buy 2 Free 1" or "Buy 2 for 1". The reason is that sometimes it's hard for Mamarazzi to find 3 books with blue color stickers or 2 books with yellow stickers that she wanted to have.

Yes, it has been a wonderful day. Last but not least Happy Belated Anniversary to Papa. Makan makan ganti balik today ok ka?.

Love Is In The Air at Malacca Zoo

After our breakfast at Restaurant Min Kok at Seremban, Papa brought me to Malacca Zoo pulak.

Wah lau eh! Seems like love is in the air. Birdie kissy kissy leh.

Last Tuesday was not school holidays yet but there were many school kids around.

Guess they were on their school trips to Malacca gua. Saw some school kids wearing uniform of TTDI school.

Saw a "Black Giant Squirrel" but how come it's so small geh?

The most funny one is the "Slow Loris" . The action was real s.l.o.w...Mamarazzi nearly fall asleep watching it move from a branch to another.

Then we wen into an exhibition room.

Wahhhh got BIG "Buaya Puchong" ...Really...no joke...this is the name of the Buaya written on the signboard. Maybe caught in Puchong kot?

Came out of the exhibition room we went into a BIG CAGE pulak.

Saw this naughty bird. It kept chasing the monkeys there and tried to bite their bum bum. I also scared to go close coz Papa said this naughty bird might bite my Birdie.

Auntie Florence love this photo. Said looks like a Happy Family.

Mamarazzi said it's like working in a company pulak. You scratch my back and I scratch yours.

Eh eh.....this fella wearing a white "sarong" like Papa pulak.

Spotted! a Green Worm "hanging out" at the tree. Can you see?

Sorry ya....photo rather blur. It's hanging from a thin thread. Mamarazzi purposely put her palm behind the worm to see the contrast.

Aiyoyo...rather tired liao. Sat down for awhile to see the big big "lembu" .

Some school children were passing by. Heard them say something about "Hari Raya Korban". Lucky this fella escape the cooking pot.

Wokay....let' go. Recharged already!

Saw a lot more animals.

Then we arrived at the most anticipated part of the journey. Wanna see Leopard, Panther and Tiger.

Alamak! very anti-climax geh...The Leopard and Panther were having their afternoon nap. Hanging up high in the tree branches.

Mamarazzi spotted some suspicious foot prints.

Mamarazzi wanna see Tigers. I bet TannToot from would love to see the Tigers too but then these are not Green Tigers.

From faraway, I can hear the Tiger roar. Scary. Dare not go near though Mamarazzi went near to snap the photos. I wonder who is more fierce....Mamarazzi or the Tigers.

Can you guess what animal is this?

Mamarazzi said now she finally understand one Cantonese proverb "make-up till face like a baboon's backside".

Eh eh..got big big turtle...When editing the photos, Mamarazzi baru noticed the second photo looks rather obscene. So BIG and LONG neck geh.

Baby elephant. Too bad that day the Elephant Show was cancelled.

Mamarazzi and Auntie Florence both agrees that Malacca Zoo was pretty impressive. It's not only full of animals, but also rich with flowers and plants.

Auntie Florence and Uncle Patrick were very excited to see this Daun Kodok plant. It's growing wild at the Zoo. Can be spotted along the pathway. The leaf of this plant can be eaten.

One of the lovely flowers at the Zoo.

Alamak...all the walking is very tiring leh. Wish I can take the tram.

But "driving" the tram also can la.

I had a wonderful time at the Zoo. Heard from Uncle Patrick, that Malacca Zoo is more exciting than the KL Zoo. Price is cheaper too.

That day we went, adults were charge RM7 per person. Senior citizen RM5 and kids(5 to 12 years old) RM4. But Mamarazzi saw a notice that states the price will be increase in January 2012.

NOTE : Please remember to bring along mosquitoes Repellent when you go there. The mozzie kept chasing Papa during our time there.  Maybe his blood is sweeter la coz I was bitten once only.

The Children's Life of Christ -The Trial of Jesus and Restaurant Min Kok, Seremban

As per The Children's Life of Christ "The Trial of Jesus" written by Enid Blyton, the bad guys in managed to capture Jesus but they had to find a reason to condemn him. Hence the went and find people to "accuse" Jesus of wrong doings. However, the "accuser" can't agree what Jesus had done wrong. They made up story.

Jesus was brought to the Council and in front of Caiaphas. The Caiaphas asked Jesus if he is Christ, the Son ofThe Blessed One. Jesus answered that he is and in time they will come to see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of God's Power, and coming in the clouds of Heaven.

The Caiaphas was very angry and accused Jesus of blasphemy for he does not believe what Jesus spoken is the truth.

The Council decided to put Jesus to death. They mocked and scorn Jesus. Poor Jesus. He was among the enemy. Enemies who would stop at nothing to see Jesus put to death.

Papa and Mamarazzi also crazy. Stop at nothing to cari makan. That was the reason which we have gone missing for a few days.

Early in the morning dragged me wake up. Say go gai-gai cari makan wor.

Gai-gai till Seremban. Makan Dim Sim at Restaurant Min Kok. Been there once last year.

We had "Wu Kok" made of Yam and oink oink. Yummy. Very fresh and crunchy.

Had various types of Dim Sum. Taste still as good as last year experience. Still a tad too salty for Mamarazzi but the rest of the gang said it's okay.

We had Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun. Too bad they don't have mixed ones. Hence we ordered on plate that is made of BBQ Pork and another that is made of prawns.

One minor incident happen with the Chee Cheong Fun. The Waiter's finger got into the Cili Paste and he wiped his finger on our table cloth thinking that we didn't notice. Haiz...no eyes see lah.

We also had Pau. Mamarazzi's eyes nearly dropped out. Wondering how the restaurant can make the Pau "open mouth" so big. Those that she made one were not as nice as these.

Mamarazzi ordered this bowl of porridge for me but I was not in the mood of eating. She walloped all. Said taste god. There were chicken meat, century eggs and some other stuffs in the porridge.

Here is the address should you feel like dropping by Seremban tin the morning for breakfast. No 7645, Lot No 5990, Jalan Labu Lama(Terminal 2), 70200 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan tel:06-7618458.

Grilled Sotong at A Wet Thai Food Cafe @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

Some where in early October, we went to A Wet Thai again for dinner.

This round, I had their Crab Meat Fried Rice. Very delicious.

Papa and Mamarazzi had plain rice with some vegetable.

They order Kangkung with Belacan. yum yum...

And Mamarazzi's must have ..."Kerabu Kaki Ayam"

Since both Papa and Mamarazzi didn't feel like having poultry, oink oink nor fish, the lady that took our ordered suggested Grilled Sotong.

MMmmmm..surprised at the size of the Grilled Sotong. Both of them love it very much. Taste exceptionally good when dipped in the Cili Sauce provided. Will certainly come again for the Grill Sotong.

Stuffed Chicken Wings Dim Sum At Restaurant Khee Way, Sg Buloh New Village

ALO ALO! ..I am back in action. It was great to get away from everything for awhile. Had a very nice and relaxing break but that's another story.

Mamarazzi is still sorting out the photos. Will post up as soon as it's sorted.
.
Meantime, here is a short post on "Stuffed Chicken Wings Dim Sum"  that we had at Restaurant Khee Way not so long ago.

I guess Dim Sum restaurant are compelled nowadays to change or add new things into their Menu.

Otherwise, customers might get bored with the same old stuffs.

One of the weekends we went to Restaurant Khee Way again for Dim Sum. Ordered the usual stuffs.

The "yui pei gao"(Fish Paste Dumpling) Mamarazzi loves this.

Then we got a surprise when we saw this new dish. Stuffed Chicken Wings.

A long time ago, Papa bought home some Stuffed Chicken Wings Dim Sum from Indonesia.

Hmm...I wonder if these Chicken Wings are as good as those that Papa brought home.

MMMmmm...

Hmmm...Taste quite good. It would be prefect if only they put a Salted Egg Yolk into the Chicken Wing, just like the Stuffed Chicken Wings that Papa brought home.

Nevertheless, will certainly go for more of these Chicken Wings.

Here is the address if you wish to have a go at the Stuffed Chicken Wings. But bear in mind that maybe they only have these Stuffed Chicken Wing during weekends only coz so far we haven't seen any during week days.

Nonsense Post - My Tail

Guess this is one of those days where Papa is trigger happy and Mamarazzi running out of idea on what to blog about.

My "tail" become the object of Papa's fascination pulak.

Kena "play" by Papa pulak. Tail become "tanduk" (horn).

Don't play play leh...My "tail" can stick on top of my hair one.

When I am angry I can put my tail on my ear.

Like this! Fierce or not?

Or my kitty eyes like this...cute or not? Meooooowwww......

Oh ya....there won't be any post for one or two days as we'll be off to Neverland to find Jake and The Pirate.
