Special Box From Indonesia

Some time ago, Papa bought home a "Magic Box" from Indonesia. I wondered and wondered what is inside that box.

Naughty Mamarazzi didn't wanna open it pulak. Said Papa hungry. After dinner baru open lah.

I cepat-cepat ate dinner so that can open the box

Finally after dinner she opened the box.

Uiks! Inside of it got another TWO more boxes pulak!

WOw... it's Lapis Legit Pandan. It's basically a Layered Cake. This cake have a long history. Said to have the Dutch-Indonesia influence.

And the Bika Ambon. This Bika Ambon is specialty cake of Medan, Indonesia. It's made of eggs, sugar and coconut milk. Since it contain, Coconut Milk, we had to finish this off quickly else it would become stale very fast.

Papa didn't have time to drop by the famous Bika Ambon Ratna shop, so he just grabbed one of each from the airport. According to Papa,  Bika Ambon Ratna comes in a very cute box. It have Smurf logo on it.

Hmm..next time must ask Papa to get some from that shop and try.

The Children's Life of Christ-Before The Cock Crew Twice

Some time ago we went gai-gai. I spotted this "Blue Bird" perching on the roof behind a restaurant. Hmmmm.....Don't usually see this bird.

Normally would see crows only.

Speaking of birds, in "The Children's Life of Christ" book, Enid Blyton had told a very good tale. It's about Jesus and Peter.

Jesus had predicted that Peter would deny him three times before the Cock crew twice. True enough that was what happened.

Peter ran away with the rest of the disciples when Jesus was taken. However, he long to know what is happening to Jesus but he was afraid. Hence he followed the crowd.

They brought Jesus to  The Palace of Caiaphas. Peter managed to slip in together with the crowd. He was feeling a bit cold so he went and sit near the fire. That was when an old woman recognised him and exclaimed hat he is one of Jesus disciples.

Hearing that Peter was afraid and told the woman that he does not know who is Jesus. AT that time the Cock crew for the first time.

Then another person saw him and said the same. Again Peter deny it.

Not long after that, another person recognised him. Peter panicked and was afraid so he exclaimed loudly that he don't know who is Jesus. It was then that the Cock crew the second time.

Jesus was at the Court Yard when Peter shouted that he don't know Jesus and their eyes met. Jesus was very sad. Peter then remembered that Jesus had predicted that he would deny knowing Jesus times before the Cock crew twice although he had vowed to be willing to go to prison with Jesus and even die for him. Ashamed, Peter went out to the street and wept.

Lunch at JM Bariani House at SS18 Subang Jaya

 Eh...where is this place?

Shoo...shoo go away..this is not McD. Papa said wanna bring me to McD geh. Why come here? Makan what?

Nasi Briyani? Many people recommend this place?

Hmmm....why no cashew nuts and raisin geh....? Both Papa and Mamarazzi preferred the ones with cashew nuts and raisins.

 Papa had the Daging one.

While Mamarazzi had the Chicken Briyani. How was the meal? Mamarazzi said she still preferred the one at Salma. Well, each to his/her own taste. Many people like this type of Nasi Briyani.

For me, I don't know coz I mogok. I want to go McD.

Well, in the end I did get to McD.

Meet Up With Ah Yee at Esquire Kitchen Restaurant, Plaza OUG

Had a nice meet up with Ah Yee last month.

 See! Ah Yee come aje already "Sok Yau" me. 

We makan-ed at Esquired Kitchen at Plaza OUG coz it was quite late already. Not many makan shop open around 3pm.

Had their famous "Oink Oink". Quite oily. 

Papa sure had fun dipping these Mantao into the oink oink gravy. Yumm...

I love this "Green Noodle" . It's not noodle but I like to call it as noodle.

Papa ordered this "Jui Hu Char"

"Foo Yoong Egg". This one sedap.

 

Last but not least Papa also wanted to have some Dumplings. Mamarazzi didn't eat so can't comment.

 

Can you guess how much is the total bill comes up to? RM100 pulang 1sen. Hmmm...you think it's cheap or expensive?

Restaurant Lim Kee, Old Klang Road.

Yay! Finally found this restaurant again after a long time. This restaurant used to be situated next to FGA Old Klang Road but the old premises was demolished. 

Sometime last month we went out makan with some friends and one of them told us the restaurant have moved across the road to Kuchai Business Centre. Hence we decided to go cari makan there.

Hmm...what's this ? Barley or Soya Bean. yay! It's soya bean.

We had their famous Bitter Gourd Fried Tang Hoon. Super delicious. Taste just the same as it used to be if not better.

It was so delicious that we ordered one more plate of this!

Mamarazzi ordered Caypot Taufu for me but I didn't eat much. Taste average in my humble opinion.

But this Four Heavenly Kings dish was very fast polished off by everyone. I think you can guess how it tasted. 

 Papa likes Pork Ribs. These are not bad. 

Seong Thong Lala, another dish that is a favourite of everyone. They added just enough ginger and wine in the soup to make it super yummy. 

The Lala were ordinary. If only they have those bigger size ones then it would be lovely. Nevertheless, the soup itself is already good enough.

Pork Noodle at Restaurant Kean Fatt, SS3, Petaling Jaya

Aiyo...why every time I sleepy Papa and Mamarazzi wanna go cari makan one...

No eyes see...snore snore snore....

They heard that this restaurant have very nice Pork Noodle. Ordered a bowl. RM5 for small size.  

Hmmm...not that small also. Quite big and have a lot of liu.

Mamarazzi also ordered Roasted Chicken Rice. Taste good. The chicken was well marinated.

Mamarazzi Nyanyuk at Restaurant SF Seafood, Sg Buloh

This is a funny story. Bet you'll laugh on how Mamarazzi "nyanyuk" the other day.

We arrived at Restaurant SF Seafood Sg Buloh and Mamarazzi proceed to order drinks and dishes to go with the rice. 

Chinese Tea for two person is enough. I want Soya Bean.

We had "Steamed Chicken Fish". Fresh and sweet.

Some Sweet Potatoes Leaves. Would have preferred the "Miu" but since they don't have that.....

Salted Vegetable with Tauhu Soup. 

Then comes the part where Mamarazzi made mistake.

She ordered Fried Chicken Wings but the restaurant doesn't have Fried Chicken Wings. Instead, they suggested Honey Chicken Wings. Hence Mamarazzi said okay.

The dish came...mmmmm...delicious. They even fry it with some ginger which makes the taste more aromatic.

Then comes another dish. Pai-Kuat-Wong.  

Adoi.....at first Mamarazzi thought huh...we ordered this meh? Then think think...ya she did. Aiyoyo....she made the mistake of ordering two dishes with similar style of cooking. 

Lucky for us she ordered small portion. If not......

The Pai-Kuat-Wong tasted pretty good.
