It's All About The Money...

Those who know Mamarazzi will know that she is crazy about BOOKS.

No big secret there. But apart from books, did you know that she likes to collect money?

She said needs a lot of money to pay for my education. Perhaps an online accounting degree is in my future. It appears she'll have to check look into accredited online college degrees and Guide to Online Schools. Wonder now much it would cost?

Well, money wor....who doesn't like? Many would do just about anything to get their hands on more money...including lie, cheat, steal, rob and even murder.

But Mamarazzi's craze is not as serious as that. She likes to collect Bank Negara Malaysia newly issue money.

The other day she managed to get her hands on these new coins issued by BNM when her friend have extra sets for sale.

Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! the newly issued coins

50sens coin. Smaller that the current 50sen coin.

The 20 sens coin

The 10 sens coin

And the 5 sens coin.

Do you have the 1990 sets of coins? She bought one set too.

I wonder if Auntie Claire have this?

It was issued when Malaysia won the The Thomas Cup back in year 2000.

One of her "biggest" purchase.

The RM50 notes which commemorate the Kuala Lumpur 98 XVI Commonwealth Games

When BNM comes up with the new RM1 notes, she also bought a set of these uncut notes.
The RM5 new notes are much better than RM1 coz it came in the form of a Hardcover book. There is a set of the new RM5 uncut note.

And a set of the old RM5 uncut notes. Sigh! she missed out on the uncut RM10 notes.

Apart from the newly issued 'money', she also likes to collect used notes.

These are one of her favourite 'babies'.

Notes with printing errors.

Can you spot the printing error here?

Book Tree at Jalan 19/29

Last weekend,  Papa brought me round and round Kuala Lumpur "makan-ing".

Then Papa say wanna go Petaling Jaya to buy "computer" for me. Well, at least I said it's for me lah.

Anyway, after getting the "computer" Papa asked wanna go where else. Mamarazzi suggested we try and find Book Tree.

She read somewhere that there is one new bookstore in town which offer modest priced books.

Earlier on, her friend also recommended this shop to her. This really made her curious.

Her friend gave her the name card of the shop. Even with the map, the location was rather confusing. Got one way street and dead end .

Finally found the shop

Got this Clifford book for me at rm14-90

There is a small rolling cube at the bottom where I can "spell" a word.

I saw this one and I asked Mamarazzi to get this for me, RM18-90.

Weee...I have 3 new "friends" ....lamb lamb, moo moo and quack quack.

It comes with a hardboard book.

She got this book for herself. It's a bit too "young" for her but she can't resist it coz it's tales about Roald Dahl when he was a boy.

This shop have all sorts of books, kids, young adults, adults, cook books, fiction, non-fiction, science fiction and fantasy. Mamarazzi also noticed that the shop also have a section for Chinese books too. Not sure it's about what but saw one with Dan Brown name there. Must be a translation of Dan Brown book. Saw a book about Obama too.

Here is the address just in case you would like to have a look of the shop . Book Tree, 5 Jalan 19/29, 46300 Petaling Jaya.

The Children's Life of Christ-Jesus Goes to The Temple /While I Go To Brickfields

The next chapter of The Children's Life of Christ book by Enid Blyton got to do with Jesus Goes to the Temple.

As everyone knows, Temple is a place to pray. Well, a day or two after he enter Jerusalem he went to the Temple to pray. However, he was very angry when he saw what was happening at the outer courts. It was noisy and dirty.

In fact, people had turned it into a Pasar". They did not take note that the place is part of the Temple. Place of prayer.

No wonder Jesus was fuming. He went and upset the stalls, drove away those hawkers and those who came to buy stuffs there. People came and see what causes the commotions.

The money changers asked why is Jesus doing that? Then Jesus replied "Do you know what is written in the Bible? The House of God is for Praying. You have turned it into a den of thieves"

Jesus was fearless for he knows his time is short. Even those hawkers and money changers were afraid of him. They complaints to the Chief Priests but they can't do anything. People were attracted by his fearlessness and came to listen to what he had to say.

Yesterday we went to a place which have a lot of Temple. Got Chinese, Indian and Christian prayer places at that area. Yup...it's Brickfields. But we didn't go to the Temples. Instead we went to Restaurant Yit Sieang.

I know what Papa and Mamarazzi want to eat.

Hmmm...I wanna order other things pulak. I wanna order Chicken Rice.

 Nice with Kopi .

My plate of Chicken Rice. Quite a lot of meat wor.

Let me taste first. Ngap! Ngap! Ngap!....Mmmmnnnn yum yum...I finished all the rice while Papa helped me to finish the Chicken Meat and Roast Pork.

MMmmm.....The Char Keoy Teow still smell as good as ever.

It's amazing how the two men handle the stall all by themselves and they can remember every customers' order. They can recognise their regular customers orders and knows who are their loyal customers. Saw they have no maid to help them.

I wonder if they set up a restaurant for their Char Keoy Teow the same good standard of service will still  be available.

Some establishment when they grow bigger, they will have to hire more staffs. And these staffs are more interested in marketing their product in order to show increase in Sales to their Boss and they tend to neglect the old and loyal customers.

Sad to say that some of these staffs may even offend the old and loyal customers. Could be due to ignorance or just simple ruthlessness. Maybe the Boss should tell the staffs to take note of their loyal customers .

The staffs are like the hawkers and money changers in the Temple. They tend to forget or purposely close they eyes and heart to the fact that a Temple is a place for praying.

K3K Benta Kaya 桂三记 , Kuchai Lama

Mamarazzi ditched me and went for facial cum massage at Kuchai Lama the other day

After the 3.5hour relaxing facial and massage, she was famished. Went  to a nearby makan-makan outlet.

Menu looks good. Full of local delights.

She had Honey Lime Shake (RM5-80) . Nice and cooling

She had a bowl of Curry Laksa. Forgotten the price. Taste was so-so only. But the Sambal was good.

Wonder what does the rest of the food in the Menu taste like.

Merdeka-Raya Buffet at Makan Kitchen, Doubletree by Hilton

We went to Makan Kitchen at Doubletree by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur to celebrate Hari Raya, Merdeka Day and someone's birthday.

 Alahai...mana dia...Haven't arrive yet.

I pose a bit first la with the nice decoration here.

We had the Merdeka-Raya Dinner Buffet which consist of Malaysian cuisine. Nothing fancy. Just your ordinary Malaysian food. As expected, some suit our taste some does not.

Beh tahan...hungry.. Makan noodle first.

Mamarazzi didn't go around snapping photos of food.

These were some of the food which we took from the Malay cuisine.

Some from the Indian side. Loves the Devil's Curry.

Some Dim Sum, mooncakes, duck meat and prawns from the Chinese Section.

The skin for the Har Kow was rather thick. But the Siew Mai was delicious. Mamarazzi love the Roast Duck but not the prawns.

The Char Koey Teow may look ugly but taste good. Enough "Wok Hei".

Love the Double Boiled Seafood Soup. Mamarazzi had two bowls of it.

Finally "DESSERT". ABC, Cendol and Ice Cream

Do you know that ABC taste great with Keropok?

After makan, time to "perform" Silat for the Birthday girl pulak. Can you see the Birthday Girl? She is sitting there wearing the songket kain.

Don't play play. My "silat" have many style. Wong Fei Hung style, scorpion style and even break dance style.

Not bad la. We were given a table with great view. Can see swimming pool downstairs and the Twin Towers at the back.

AAAHHHHhh!!! What's that up the sky? Did you see that? An UFO!!? There! the round white light on top of the CitiBank Building.

Space invasion by the Big Bad Wolf? Aiyo....Black Paws got the dates wrong ah?

Woi! not today la...The Invasion is supposed to be 7th to 16 October  at MAEPS Serdang la.

Ah...not UFO ah? My mistake ah...just the reflection of the light ka... chehhhhh...

Wokay wokay...snap snap photo time okay?

Alamak! who the heck that snap my photo like this? Got two "tanduk" at the top geh....

This one is much better.

Posing a bit la....like Baywatch or not? No?

What about like this?

Ok...since it's Merdeka Day ....PEACE!!!

After the photo session, I went "roaming". Met an Uncle who is working there. He is very friendly. He gave me my 1st packet of Duit Raya.

Then he gave me a flag.

Jagung Gemilang lalalala....oppss....Jalur ah...not Jagung ah... sorry. MERDEKA!!!

Auntie Florence saw my flag and asked if she can have it. I gave to her and I told her I will go and ask the Uncle to give me one more. She paiseh and said I keep la the flag.

I didn't keep the flag. I gave to Kor Kor Adrian so that he can play too.

Then I went to find the Uncle and asked for some more flag. The Uncle asked me how many I want. I told him FOURTEEN.

The Uncle was very much taken by me.

Before I went home, he brought me around and gave me a BIG complimentary piece of Chocolate Chips Cookie which I ate in the car and fell asleep half way eating that.

Alamak....Mamarazzi forgotten to ask what's that Uncle's name. Thanks to him, I had a great time there.

On our way to the Car Park, I saw 3 girls singing my "Yum" Song. Wanna know what's my "Yum" song? Here is the video

I slowly "inche" to get nearer to the stage.

Funny. Last Raya, I listened and danced to the same song in Trengganu wearing the same baju. Mamarazzi had blogged here

Happy Birthday Auntie Little Bird. Stay young and pretty always  *bodek bodek* bicycle...

Well, we are not bored with the food here yet. Too many types yet to try.

This round we had these "green noodles". That was how Mamarazzi tricked me into eating it.

I love these "noodles"

 Mamarazzi's favourite. Kerabu Kaki Ayam.

This round we had Fried Fish with Mango.

Fuiyoh! This one MUST order. The fish was nicely fried. Very crunchy. It's like having two dish with the price of one.

The mango was like kerabu mango. The gravy tasted great!

The gravy was spicy and yet it tempted Mamarazzi to have more of it. First time for me and Mamarazzi to ask for additional rice.

Don't forget to order this dish ya if you ever come here . Address : No.1, Grd Floor Jalan Puteri 2/5, Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong. Tel: 603 - 8060 5630.
