Malacca Cafe, Subang Bestari Shah Alam

Papa 'kepunan' capati. Round and round we went searching for something new. Saw this newly opened Malacca Cafe. Actually not that new but we have never been to this area, so kira 'new' also lah.

That's Papa clowning around.

Not enough with Capati, he order some more Roti Prata

Papa comment that the Dhal was good and Mamarazzi should try make Bak Chang from similar type of kacang. Hard to find nowadays

The Roti Pratha comes with this Chicken Curry gravy. The stall owner have a very good business mind.

Put one piece of chicken into the gravy. Other shops would give gravy only.

Mamarazzi was still quite full after having dinner but she spotted 'Burung Puyuh' in the Menu. Ordered one.

She said it tasted very good. Well marinated. Even the food presentation was good....only Mamarazzi 'cheh kai' photography skill didn't quite capture it.

Mamarazzi very stingy. Gave me one tiny 'drumstick' only from the 'burung puyuh goreng'.

My Orange Juice. RM2 something only.

 A romantic setting.

Quite a lot of food to be had here. Saw got Satay and Halal Pau. The Pau cum Dimsum Stall owner looks like a Chinese Muslim. He spoke to me in Chinese.

Yes, will come here again to try out others food. Papa wanna try out the Kima next time.

Here is the address just in case you are at this area and doesn't know what to eat, No 1, Jalan Nova Q U5/Q, Subang Bestari, 40150 Shah Alam.

Durian at SS2(Behind The Police Station)

Uncle STP post about durian, Auntie Claire also post about durian. Mamarazzi gila durian. Papa's colleague from Indonesia also gila durian.

That was how we end up at SS2, looking for durians. Wa...so many. It's the season now.

Papa said let's try the good ones. Durian Musang King. This one cost RM35/kg. Very thick pulp and taste a bit bitter. Just the way Mamarazzi like it.

Don't worry as these have guarantee. If tasteless or unripe they will replace for us.

Durian Udang Merah(Red Prawn), RM15/kg. Also thick pulp. This one taste sweet. Mamarazzi preferred the bitter tasting durian.

Confirmed these durians are authentic ones coz after having these durians Mamarazzi had a hard time sleeping that night. Serves her right for not drinking coconut water to cool down the body earlier. This stall also selling young coconut water.
While they were busy having durians, I was busy "kacau-ing" the Kor Kor and Jie Jie there.

The Jie Jie gave me a Rambutan.

Mamarazzi spied some pre-packed durian. The Kor Kor said it's Udang Merah and another species which Mamarazzi forgotten the name. RM25 per packet. Buy one free one.

The top one were Udang Merah and the bottom were of another species.

All taste good except for two pulp which does not have any taste in them. Sorry, this tarak guarantee. No replacement allowed.

These "branded" durians are a bit pricey to eat but once in awhile it's worth it.

Dinner at Restaurant www.FattyCrabs.com

This is another late post. End of May, Mamarazzi saw a deal advertised at StreetDeal.my.

The deal was for RM76.90(for two pax), we could get Fatty Crab's Salted Baked Dong Guai Crab + Yellow Emperor Bean Fish Head + 2 scoops of house vegan ice-cream. On top of that can have as many mantao and satay fish that we want as the two items were categorized under eat-all-you-want.

Mamarazzi purchased 3 vouchers. She saw that they have an online table reservation service.  She immediately made a booking. Very efficient service. She got the reply on her online reservation almost immediately.

On the chosen day, Papa drove us there.

Oh ya...this Restaurant www.FattyCrabs.com is not related to the P.J. Fatty Crabs

Saw a car on the road with two "balls" hanging under it. Hmmm...

When we arrived, we were famished. Walloped a lot of satay fish. I didn't eat coz it was spicy.

Mamarazzi went and took a plate full of Mantou

I had the Mantao. Mamarazzi ate the Mantao also say sedap. Papa said no need to go and take the Mantao so many rounds la. Just bring over the whole container kau tim lo.

While waiting for the others to arrive, Papa browse through the Menu and said maybe order fried rice for me to eat first.

Initially Mamarazzi thought, no need to order la. RM21 fried rice portion for two person is expensive to her leh. But then think again later I makan what? Moreover it's seafood fried rice wor. Once in awhile okay la.

Papa ordered the Seafood Fried Rice for me. Taste not bad.

We had 3 coupons which caters for 6 person dinner and all include Salt Baked Dong Guai Crabs.

The Lady Boss was very kind. She offered to change it for us. We can use the other two coupon for two other type of crabs

In the end Mamarazzi opt to have half the crabs to be cooked as Salt Baked Dong Guai Crabs.

The crabs were large and a lot of meat. Auntie Siew and Mamarazzi liked this meaty crabs. Uncle Patrick preferred the crabs from RRI roadside . He said these are a bit old for his liking.

Mamarazzi opt the other portion of the crabs to be cook as Green Chili Sweet and Sour Crabs. Almost everyone agreed that this dish was delicious. Almost everyone means exclude me lah coz I don't like spicy food.

Hmmmm...Mamarazzi wondered whether we can order the gravy without the crabs or not. The gravy was great with the Mantao. Mamarazzi said the crabs were not as meaty as the Dong Guai Crabs but the rest said it's okay.

The Yellow Emperor Bean Braise Soong Fish Head. Mamarazzi didn't eat this coz she was scared of the many fish bones.

Papa ordered Kerabu Baby Octopus. Forgotten the price but it was delicious.

Last but not least...comes Vegan Ice-Cream

The staff there was very helpful. Too tissue paper and put it on my baju so that I won't dirty my baju.

I did not like the Ice-cream. I preferred the normal Ice Cream. Mamarazzi and Papa also did not finish their Ice-cream. But the rest of the gang finished theirs. Guess, this vegan ice-cream depend on individual taste.

Personally, Mamarazzi felt the price was a bit pricey as compared to others restaurant selling crabs. However, there is no denying that this restaurant have some interesting method of cooking the crabs which made the crab dishes special. Mamarazzi is still dreaming of the gravy ...yum.....

Restaurant Rak Thai, Amcorp Mall (Revisited)

It's nearly one year. The last round I came here was to meet up with Kor Kor Manglish .

I want this!!!

Rak Thai Red Ruby with Coconut Milk (RM4)

Papa had Rak Thai Exotic Cendol(RM4)

But I preferred my Red Ruby better.

Mamarazzi had Green Tea(RM1)

Papa had Cashew Nuts Beef with Rice. Not bad. A lot of vege.(RM7-90)

Mamarazzi had Rak Thai Fried Rice(RM7-90).

Alamak...Mamarazzi forgotten to tell them not to put cili padi. They did put cili padi, but at the side. Lucky for her.

She like the meat but the rice was a bit too wet for her. She like her a bit more dry. Nevertheless, she wallopped all.

If you wanna try, this restaurant is located at Lower Ground Floor of Amcorp Mall.

A Wet Thai Food Cafe @ Bandar Puteri Puchong(2nd visit)

Mamarazzi gila Thai Food again.

Actually she wanted to have the Steam fish that we had the other day. She had forgotten the name of the dish. Mamarazzi thought it was called Lemon Steam. Thus we ordered that.

Hmm...doesn't look like the fish we had the other day. This one was fiery hot. The fish was fine but Mamarazzi doesn't fancy the taste of the sauce.

We also ordered Kerabu Kaki Ayam. Yum yum...very delicious.

This dish is simply heavenly. It's grilled Pork Neck Slices.

After the spicy dinner, Papa ordered Cendol for himself.

Of course I "taxed" a bit of the Cendol.

Mmm....nice...

Papa also ordered ABC for me. Mamarazzi tasted a bit said taste weird coz instead of Gula Melaka Syrup, they put chocolate syrup.

For me...

 It's rated Double Thumbs Up.

The Children's Life of Christ-Jesus and The Madman

Females! A very mysterious and 'mah farn' species

The other day Mamarazzi and Kaw Kaw went shopping at "Midvalley".

We "men" nothing better to do so we hang out at Starbucks. Papa had some coffee while I had some Hot Chocolate

The Hot Chocolate made me real sleepy. When I woke up an hour or two later, you know what I saw?

One came back empty handed while the other came back with two books.

Gosh! Walk so long and came back empty handed? They must be as mad as the Madman in Enid Blyton's "The Children's Life of Christ-Jesus and The Madman" book.

Ya, It was said that there was once a Madman who lived in a caves till he met Jesus one day. Jesus was passing by when the Madman rushed out screaming and scaring nearly everyone.

Jesus asked him his name and the Madman told him that he have a thousand names as he is being possessed by a thousand bad devils. They made him do bad and evil things. Jesus helped the Madman by banishing the devils from him.

The Madman was so happy and grateful that he declared that he will follow and serve Jesus.

At the same time, the was a man nearby the cave who herd a big flock of pigs for the villagers.

When the Madman came rushing out of the cave, he did not only frightened the people but also the pigs. The pigs ran off and fell off the cliff.

The man went and told the villagers and they thought Jesus had banished the devils from the Madman and made them go into their pigs. And now their pigs are dead. They were angry and afraid of what Jesus could do to them. Maybe bad things. Hence they asked Jesus to go away from their country

The Madman had wanted to follow Jesus but Jesus advised him to stay on. Help him by spreading good words about Jesus and preparing for his return. The Madman promised to do that.

Hmmm....come to think of it..could it be that Jesus silently doing some "banishing" that day at Midvalley? Maybe Jesus banished the Shopping Monsters from Kaw-Kaw and Mamarazzi hence they did not came back with trolley ful of stuffs??
