Hor Fun at Restaurant TK Chong, Damansara Perdana

One year already since the last time we were here. Lucky for this restaurant does not depend on our business solely or else would have.....

Let's hope the taste maintain good.

Wahhh...so many plates of cili padi ah..scary ..shoo shoo go away from me.

We had steamed chicken. The meat taste delicious but just a tad too much oyster sauce. In fact even without the oyster sauce it would have taste good enough already.

Bean sprout for 1 person. Rather big portion. Sweet.

My bowl of Hor Fun. Taste as good as ever. Mamarazzi finished her bowl of Hor Fun, Papa baru found parking. Pity Papa.

Come to think of it... parking space was one of the reason why we seldom come to this shop anymore. It's very hard to find parking on week days.

But for a delicious Hor Fun, it worth it.

Chunky Satay at Medan Idaman

Hmmm...Mamarazzi's "student" have to be whack bum bum liao. Worked nearby here for so long tarak tell Mamarazzi about this Satay stall. Auntie Little Bird bring bring us here baru tau about this stall.

No wonder Auntie Little Bird crazy about the satay here. So big chunk.

The gravy also have a lot of peanuts. The only complaint is that the satay tasted rather sweet.

Price not that expensive

Knowing Mamarazzi's craze for Nasi Lemak, Auntie Little Bird tapau-ed a few packets of Nasi Lemak. Taste..yummy but must beware of the Sambal. It's fiery hot.  Don't know where she got this from.

But if you wanna try out the satay for yourself, here is the address : In front of BATA shop, Jalan 2/21D, Batu 5, Jalan Gombak, 53000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan.

Restaurant Ocean, Kuala Trengganu

It was Ah Kong's birthday. We decided to give a simple surprise birthday dinner for Ah Kong with a few relatives.

This round we had dinner at Restaurant Ocean

We had this..NOT. The next table had this. Mamarazzi saja curi-curi snap photo of it.

Yam with Oink oink...not a dish which Ah Kong is allowed to eat everyday.

Of course Claypot Taufu for the kids.

The Four Heavenly King. Sadly, King Petai was missing. Haiz... without Petai it was like Durian without the smell.

I "yam" what I "yam"...Yam Basket.

Popeye's favourite soup.

Don't look at me like that. I am so going to eat you up after I "kau tim" the oink oink.

Nasty looking fish but taste quite good. If only the portion could be bigger.

The Chicken and Duck Talk Dish. It was actually a mix of Roast Duck and Fried Chicken.

Birthday of course comes with Cake.

Wah...still have space for more candles wor.

The Birthday Boy with the hunny and holding the latest addition of grandkid.

Orang potong cake, I wanna "kaypoh" also. Don't worry. I can cut this "small" cake into 24 pieces and more.

One for Ah Kong...open big big....and one for me.

One for Ah Mah...and one for me.

Happy Birthday, Ah Kong!

A Degil Restaurant and the Long Journey.

Time flies. It seems that we've been busy makan, makan and more makan. So fast it's time for the next stage pulak.

We came to Penang using Penang Bridge. This round, we left using Ferry. It's free ride if going ou from Penang. It was my first Ferry ride.

Bye bye Penang.

When the Ferry started to move, we went to the top deck.

Saw some BIG big "boat".

Farnee "chair". I flip "open" one "chair" , the other "closed" pulak. Really like playing catch pulak. The journey was very short. In a blink of an eye we arrived Butterworth.

Kept looking for food stall along the main road. Haiyo....Sunday all shops not open ka? Unknown to us, there were many Chinese shop open at the residential area. We just didn't know where to look.

Since we didn't know that, we end up having breakfast at Mamak shop.

I "ordered" Milk
But when Mamarazzi's Kopi O ice came, I wanted to drink hers pulak.

This fella ah...very degil. Mamarazzi ordered Nasi Goreng and specifically said NO CILI, NO CILI PADI, NO CILI POWDER, TAK MAU PEDAS.

I think you can guess what happen when the plate of rice arrived.

Degil! Not enough with the Cili powder, they added Cili Padi some more. Returned the plate of rice to them and again it came with cili powder. Degil.

Mamarazzi end up going to the bakery nearby and bought some "roti".

Papa and Uncle Patrick had Roti Cannai. Said the Curry tasted rather salty. Not sure it's his taste buds gone haywire or too much salt in the curry.

After our breakfast, we part ways with Uncle Patrick and Auntie Florence as we proceed to K.Trengganu to see Ah Kong and Ah Mah.

It was a very LOOooooooooong journey.

We pass by a Dam ..over mountain and hills(Exaggerate a bit lah)

Pass by Paddy  Fields

Stop by some stalls to buy fruit. Buah Salak and Pineapples.

Stopped and had a horrible tasting  "lunch" at a restaurant. Mamarazzi didn't bother to snap photos of the horrible food.

It took us nearly 9 hours to arrived Ah Kong's house. Much longer time than going there through KL but arrive we did.

That's another story.

Hawker Food Near Hotel Sunway Georgetown, Penang

That night we had dinner nearby Hotel Sunway at Georgetown.

There were a lot of hawkers along the road. You can sit in any Coffee shop and the hawkers will bring the food that you ordered to that shop.

Cannot bring in drinks from outside else will be charge RM0-50 per item. Understandable as the restaurant would have to clean up after the customers. Hire maid also need money leh.

Kaw Kaw tapau-ed Ling Chee Kang into the shop to drink. They did not charge her. Probably because we did order drinks from the shop also. The Ling Chee Kang drink was very good.

Poor Mamarazzi. By this time her sore throat was terrible. She can't eat anything and don't feel like eating anything at all. But thanks to her friend Carine who told her there is one terrific duck porridge here, that Mamarazzi had something to eat.

Hmm...the duck porridge was indeed delicious. It was so yummy till Uncle Patrick beh tahan and ordered a bowl for himself. Auntie Florence also can't stand the temptation and she ordered another bowl too. Must try.

Salute Papa. Having high fever also dare to eat fried stuff. He bought these Apong Telur. Taste not bad.

Sotong Kangkung. RM7. Ordinary.

Popiah. Seems nice.

Siput. Uncle Patrick ordered this thinking that it's boiled but was  surprised that it turn out to be spicy one.

Everyone except Mamarazzi had great time making "kissy sound" while having these.

Wow! Really BIG oyster.
Ikan Bakar. Smell nice.

Everyone was busy eating and I got bored. Kept running about. As Mamarazzi was not eating, she brought me to walk around outside.

Saw a stall selling Thong Yuen. She bought two bowls. The one on the left have Ginger Soup. Auntie Florence love it. The one on the right was Osmanthus Flower Soup

While we were away, the rest of the gang ordered some other food too like Chee Cheong Fun, CKT and etc.

It's safe to say here the food around this place were not too bad. There are some hits and there are some missed.

We saw there is another shop selling Penang products. Hun Ming Trading at New Lane. Mamarazzi went in. Again she saw Cheong Kim Chuan BKT spices being sold here.

Haiz..it's as if it's tempting Mamarazzi to buy. Mamarazzi end up getting two packets of Bak-Kut-Teh spices from the shop
and three rolls of Chicken Floss Tambun Biscuits.

Then we called it a night.
