Pan Ki Dim Sum, Seri Petaling

Last weekend Mamarazzi woke up dreaming of eating Pau. Since we were heading to Seri Petaling, we decided to makan Dim Sum at Pan Ki Dim Sum.

Very long time have not been to this shop already. Papa and Mamarazzi used to makan here a lot.

It was nearly noon. Not much crowd.

Mamarazzi ordered some dim sum. Not much variety left as it was late already. Taste not bad la.

The one was Mamarazzi's favourite. It have herbal taste and a lot of Goji in it. Yummmm....

Mamarazzi ordered two Sang Yuk Pau. Taste quite good.

Papa ordered a bowl of Century Egg porridge for himself but kena sabotaged by me. I wanted his bowl of porridge. He had to get another bowl for himself.

Papa said the porridge taste okay but Mamarazzi did not like the porridge coz to her it was too gooey. I didn't finish my bowl of porridge. Papa makan all.

Restaurant Yuyi Bak Kut Teh, Old Klang Road

Mm....no mood. Sleepy ah. I was having a fine nap and Mamarazzi kacau-ed me. Eat again ar?

Okay, you guys order while I concentrate on pouring out the soya sauce.

Dried Bak Kut Teh. All agreed that this dish indeed was very delicious. In fact it's mouth watering as Mamarazzi is drooling all over the keyboard as she is typing up this post.

A bowl of "Tau Pok". Am surprised that the portion was quite big.

This is one of Ms Siew and Mamarazzi's favourite dish. Claypot Chicken Wine.

Wow...this shop put a lot of wine into it. One taste I feel like "floating" already.

Xiao Bai Chai...hmmm...a bit old .

The Boss said this is "Soong" Fish Head. I don't know what is a "Soong" fish. Do anyone know what is a Soong fish?

There are a lot of meat in this piece of fish.

Another thing to praise about this shop is that they provided us with a bowl of Bak Kut Teh Soup to go with our white rice.

The soup taste very strong of BKT herbs. A bit too salty but goes well with white rice.

Yumm...tummy full full already. Time to call for the bill.

Wow! surprising! Total RM60 only for 5 adults and 1 kid? Amazing

Pan Mee at Restaurant Red Teahouse, Taman Sri Sentosa Old Klang Road

The first thing we saw when we sat under the tree was this "KUKUNUT" sign. Hmmm...interesting.

Mamarazzi said this shop have very delicious Pan Mee. Came out in "Ho Chiak" show before and she had ate here back in 2007. Check out the post here.

Looks like not many people today. Mamarazzi said the last time she were here, she had to wait quite long for table.

Service quite fast. Yummy bowl of Pan Mee

What's so special about this Pan Mee is that it's hand pulled Pan Mee and they can pull it very  LONG. Can see in the photo?

Taste delicious. The Cakur Manis vegetable was very young and sweet. The Ikan bilis was very crunchy.

Mamarazzi discovered something different this round. The last time she was here, a small bowl of Pan Mee consist of about 5 slices of Pan Mee only.

This round, she was pleasantly surprised to see a small bowl of Pan Mee have a lot of noodle when compared to previous visit.

Hmm...I really "drop spectacles" loh...price of things increased but the portion of noodle increased too? Usually it's the opposite.

Conclusion? Must come again lor.

STP's Baked Prawns & Mamarazzi's "Sun Tanned" Prawns

In Mamarazzi post titled Prawns Prawns and More Prawns, STP suggested that she should try his recipe http://suituapui.wordpress.com/2009/05/31/send-me-the-pillow-that-you-dream-on/

That was what she did with the remaining Big Head Prawns.

Thanks to STP, the mystery of the bitter taste was solved.

It seems that Mamarazzi is supposed to use kitchen scissors, cut open the "Big Head" and pull out the black sac and throw away. It was that black thing which cause the bitter taste. That was what  she did.

Guai guai ah...all sit tight on a large piece of Chinese Cabbage leaf while Mamarazzi "Shower" you with chopped garlic and butter.

Opps...don't have milk. Nevermind lah. Just tembak lah.

In goes the prawns into the oven.

Jeng~Jeng~Jeng~ ..... "Sun tanned" Prawns.

Errrrr....sure can eat or not? Why not you try first ya, papa?

Verdict? Not bad except that it's not salty enough. Mamarazzi had forgotten to add salt thinking that the butter is already salty.

Oh ya...am proud to announce that Mamarazzi had "Mastered" the art of making the Paku Pakis Cold Dish this round.

This round Mamarazzi just pour hot water over the Paku Pakis Vege instead of boiling them. She then quickly throw away the hot water and put the vege into ice water. Then left it in the fridge till it's time to serve.

She added some chopped small onions instead of big onions. Then add some lime juice, sugar and fried ikan bilis and mixed them before serving.

This round, the vege tasted just right.

Mystery of The Big Head Prawns

Papa brought home 3 kg of these Big Head River prawns the other day. See...all fat fat and and full of "eggs".

Mamarazzi tried making Soya Sauce Prawns but the taste turns out weird. Papa said the head taste bitter. Maybe these Big Head Prawns are not suitable for that type of cooking

Then Mamarazzi remembered that Auntie Little Bird gave her some Asam Pedas Paste. Hence, she tried making Asam Pedas.

The Assam Pedas turns out looking good but the taste was still horrible to Mamarazzi.

There is still that weird taste. Very strong smell. The prawns were not rotten. Uncle Patrick, Auntie Florence and Papa ate and said taste alright. Nothing weird. Papa commented that the head tasted bitter.

But Auntie Siew said she also smelled strong smell. Mamarazzi suspected that it's due to the prawns "eggs".

Till now, the mystery remained unsolved.

Auntie Florence cooked Curry Prawns. Taste much better than Mamarazzi's Asam Pedas Prawns. Too bad not enough curry else Papa can dip in bread and it would taste heavenly.

Pity me...can't eat those prawns as its spicy.

Mamarazzi steamed eggs for me to eat with rice. Chicken + salted duck eggs.

She also boiled some Kai Lan with oyster sauce for us.

After the "spicy" lunch, Mamarazzi asked who wants "ice cream". Of course I was the first to arrived to the fridge.

Happy Rice Dumpling Festival 2011

Mamarazzi managed to make some Bak Chang last week. After making the Bak Chang she made some "Kee Chang" or "Kan Shui Chung" as Cantonese put it.

This year Mamarazzi caught the dumpling fever and gone crazy.

She went and bought 2kg of Glutinous Rice to make Kan Shui Chung. Guess how many she managed to make from the 2kg of Glutinous Rice.

Ample to say that she had made enough to distribute to each of her pals a whole bunch of it instead of giving out 3-4 biji like last year.

 Ta! Da!!!!

Yumm....this year the Kan Shui Chung was very successful. Not sticking to the bamboo leaf like last year. The rice also very fragrant with Pandan smell as she added pandan leaf to wrap the Kan Sui Chung.

Happy Dumpling Festival to everyone!

The Children's Life of Christ- The Tale of The Fisherman/Cats Poo

Ohh! it's such a hot day. Very nice day for a dip in the pool.

Gosh! It's fun to play in the pool.

Paddle paddle paddle...

Papa said am getting too tall for the kiddies pool. I can sit in the pool with my head above the water now.

Playing in the pool reminds me of the bedtime story that Mamarazzi read for me from Enid Blyton's book "The Children's Life of Christ- The Tale of The Fisherman"

It was said that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fisherman's net which he and his friends cast into the sea. When the net is heavy and full, the fisherman and his friends will pull up the net and  row the boat to the shore.

There, they will sort out those fishes that are good and and throw away those fishes that are bad. That is what it's gonna be at the end of the world. The Angels would come. Those people good people will go to heaven and those bad ones will be cast away.

Speaking of bad people....whose stinky shoes is that?

Yuck.....please don't put at the side of the pool. There are space provided for you to keep your shoes.

Some people are really bad. Don't have common courtesy

Some neighbors here likes to rear cats. I love cats. I wish I can have a kitten as pet.

But then the cats that the neighbor rear are very naughty. They likes to poo all over the corridor. The owner would pretend as if nothing happen and turn a blind eye on the poo although we very well know that the poo are from their cats.

If you want to rear pets then at least be responsible to your pets and neighbors.

Haiz...a visitor even commented to people that my home is stinky because of the cats poo at the corridor.

So..now whose stinky shoes is that ...better go and keep before Mamarazzi throw it away!
