Medan Selera Kuchai Lama, Old Klang Road

We pass by this place a few times. Always saw a lot of cars park along the road. It's located opposite the Rockwill Office and Old Klang Road Police Station, at the junction turning to Puchong.

Wondering whether this is the Food Court from Kuchai Entreprenuer's Park which have moved here.

Quite a lot of things to eat. Not sure what is good. No recommendation from people

Hence we simply tembak. Lime with Asamboi drink and Teh Si Ice.

 Mmmm......nice nice.

Papa round and round and round...this was was he end up with. Taste. Okay lah

Am hungry. I want noodle. I have money to pay.

Mamarazzi ordered Claypot Noodle with Chicken for me. Mamarazzi said taste ordinary only but I was very hungry and I walloped all.

Papa was still hungry so he ordered the Fried Keoy Teow. Taste also ordinary.

Hmm...anyone been to this food court yet? Any recommendation?

Wadi AL-Nile Restaurant, Platium Walk Setapak

Auntie Little Birdie have praised this restaurant for their delicious Kabsah Chicken with Rice.

Hence, we decided to invite Angel Bear to this Arabic Cuisine restaurant for a taste of the food there.

I wonder what is good here apart from the Kabsah Chicken Rice?

Mint Tea(RM6 for Small pot).

But Auntie Little Bird don't drink tea wor. I wonder if they have Coca-cola here.

Very cute. Naughty Papa kept teaching me to say "taste like ubat gigi".

But Mamarazzi like this tea. Usually people drink with sugar but Mamarazzi drink it plain.

Papa ordered Hummus (RM6). This"hummus" is not "fertilizer" but it's a blend of Chick peas with Tahina Sauce.

We didn't know that Hummus comes with these breads.

Thus, Papa ordered Mulawah Bread (RM4 Large)

Alamak! so big! How to eat leh???

Oh ya...the black dots on the top is not dirt. It's black sesame seeds.

Eat with Hummus...Mmmmm...I didn't like it much. But Papa and Mamarazzi like it.

Hmm...Ice Cream...Eat the Mulawah Bread with Ice Cream must be tasty. Just like Ice Cream Bread.

Papa put some for me. Yummm..

Two scoops of Ice Cream (RM5)

Put Cherry on top taste nicer or not ah?

Hmmm...what else next?

Auntie Little Bird had Fayrouz. It's something like Spritzer Pop.

Mamarazzi also ordered one for me. If not mistaken it was RM4.

They have 4 flavours -Raspberry, Mango, Pineapple and Apple.

Mamarazzi saw they have Barbican and thought wanna try but too bad they have run out of stock.

Here comes the soup that accompany the Main Dish.

Taste a bit like "Rasam". A bit sourish with a hint of spiciness. Even I can take this soup. Yummmmm...

Kabsah Chicken with Rice. Quarter Chicken. RM10.

Portion quite big. If small eater, two person can share this rice.

Mamarazzi had a taste of this. Hmm...the rice have a hint of spiciness.

Unlike Auntie Little Bird, Mamarazzi don't quite like the taste of the rice but she likes the Chicken. It was very tender and the taste absorb fully into the meat.

Angel Bear had this but she had Lamb instead of Chicken. The meat certainly looks yummy. Forgot to ask her if got "lamb lamb" smell or not.

Mamarazzi had Grilled Chicken. It's lemon flavoured grilled chicken with garlic and onion served with rice.

She ordered half a Chicken(RM15). She nearly fainted when the Grilled Chicken with Rice arrived.

Look at Papa's cheeky face! Noticed anything unusual? No?

Alright...here is Mamarazzi arm as compared to the gigantic plate of rice. Really pengsan  kao-kao!.

Mamarazzi thought when she order "half" it means they will give her half a Chicken but the rice portion would remain the same. She didn't know the rice portion would also doubled.

To Mamarazzi, this plate of rice is ample to feed 3-4 person.

I ate and ate and ate and ate....still cannot finish. Some end up in my tummy and most end up all over the table.

Aiyoyo.....one thing haven't finish another one came.

Papa ordered Lamb Akdah(RM14). Taste very yummy. The meat was very tender and juicy. Not smelly what-so-ever.

Aiks! It comes with some more bread. Beh tahan.....had to tapau back la. Maybe Auntie Little Bird can create something out of these bread.

Dessert. Banana Masoob RM8. There was another interesting dessert called Honey Masoob.

Hai...Don't know what "yellow" brain Mamarazzi and Auntie Little Bird were laughing about.

Despite the not so attractive look, this dessert was delicious. A bit too sweet but I like it. A lot of Banana taste.

Overall, it this have been a good meal. Service and food were good. Price was reasonable considering the portion of food and taste.

The Boss came over to our table and chatted with Papa for awhile. According to him, this restaurant commenced business for about 3months only. So far so good.

Auntie Little Bird visited this restaurant a couple of time already and she said there was one time she saw the Boss rejected goods from supplier coz it's not fresh.

This is not a paid post nor an invite by the restaurant owner for Mamarazzi to go for food tasting and blog about the food there. All opinion express herein are solely Mamarazzi's personal view. Everyone taste is different.

Here is the address in case you wish to have a try Wadi AL-Nile Restaurant, No 72-0, Block J, Platinum Walk, No. 2, Jalan Langkawi, 53300 Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Tel : 03-41312356.

Sucessful "Water Dogs" and Failed 1 Tonne Noodle

Puzzled about the title? "Water-dogs" is a slang for Dumplings coz the pronunciation for Dumpling is similar to pronunciation for "water" and "dog" in Cantonese.

As for the noodle, it's not as heavy as one tonne. The name is "Wantan Noodle". Well, it could have weight one tonne if it's massed produced.

Anyway, last month Mamarazzi posted about her "half-past 6" dumplings. Failed coz the soup was not tasty enough.

This round Mamarazzi copied the soup recipe from the noodle restaurant in Subang Permai.  Some meat, White Lobak(radish), Goji and dried red dates.

That's all?

Need to be boiled overnight ah? Wow...
The next morning Mamarazzi prepared the same ingredient as last week.

Chopped mushroom, water crest nuts, black fungus, smelly leaves, carrot, prawns and minced pork. All mixed together. Add some corn flour, salt and pepper.

Wrapped it up in the Dumpling skin. Put into hot boiling water to boil till cooked.

Wow! Chubby chubby "water dogs" . Hmm...these certainly not the mini Shih Tzu dog. It's more like Bulldogs.

It taste really delicious! This round, she put enough salt in the "Water Dogs" and the soup was simply out of this world. A delightful match with the "Water Dogs".

Next time make "Water Dogs" have to make this soup.

 Papa likes "Fried Water Dogs".

 No photo! No photo!

Don't wanna take photo la every time I eat

Taste? Sedap lo...say not sedap next time Mamarazzi won't make pulak.

As for the Wan Tan Noodle to go with the "Water Dogs", it failed miserably.

She boiled the noodle and let it go through cold water once before boil it again. Drained off the water and served with light soya sauce, dark soya sauce and fried garlic oil.

In the end, the noodle still have a strong smell. Mamarazzi suspected maybe the seller gave her old noodles.

Well, nevermind. Better luck next round.

Bak Chang Fever Again

You believe or not? Mamarazzi nearly forgotten about Bak Chang Festival this year.

Lucky for me, Papa reminded her on Sunday. He told her Bak Chang Festival is next week. Some more she dares to reply "I thought next month". She didn't realise it's already "next month" now.

Lucky at that time, we were on way to the Pasar(market).

She managed to buy some dried up "Brains"(Chestnuts).

Next she bought some "Kidney Beans". Gosh! Got dried brain and now kidney???

Then we "rush" home and Mamarazzi starts "work".

At home we had some Bamboo leaves, dried shrimps, dried oyster and salted eggs in hand.

For first round, she just made a few Pork Chang and a few Chicken Chang.

Half a day later, she managed to make 10 Chicken Chang and 15 Bak Chang.

These four Chicken Chang are for a Special Visitor. Another 6 more I think you can guess where it went to. If you don't already know, a little birdie can tell you.

And the rest are MINE!! All mine...

Nah...shape not that nice but edible lah. First round always like that. Once got use to it then it will be better.

Hmm...where did the salted eggs gone to?  Hmm.."melt" into the Chang?

Papa walloped 4 straight from the pot. Commented that the taste is not enough.

On Monday he walloped another 3 while Mamarazzi shared 1 with me. That means how many more left in the fridge ah?

Mamarazzi didn't count coz by that time she came down with fever. Too rush maybe. At the time of this posting she is fine already. Only left with a bit of sore throat.

Weird. As Papa said the Chang tasted better on Monday. Could it be due to the Chang have been left over night?

We met up with our Special Visitor with Auntie Little Bird that night. Guess what did that Little Bird gave Mamarazzi?A box of 50 Salted Eggs!!

La~la~la~ looks like there will be another round of Bak Chang making marathon this weekend loh.
