Light Shopping In Ipoh

After makan, Mamarazzi said wanna get some of those delicious JJ Swiss Rolls.

Fearing that we might "sesat" Auntie Claire leads the way to the shop. Very fast they "borong" so many packets of swiss rolls.

Mamarazzi bought the normal mix fruit swiss rolls and tried out the mini swiss rolls. The mini swiss rolls very delicious. I love the chocolate swiss rolls .

Then we said bye bye to Auntie Claire. Thank you very much for everything and for this colourful mat .

Then we head on to Yee Hup in the town to buy some biscuits.

Bought a big plastic of biscuits. Mamarazzi was delighted to find this Nyonya Sambal Tumis. She bought a packet last round and it was very tasty.

Alamak! naik harga already. Used to be RM5-90. Now increased to RM6-90 because of the new packaging?

Then we head on to the opposite shop to buy some "piggy" biscuits. RM2 a piece.

And also the Famous Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken. Hmm...price increased to RM17 a bird. This round the chicken tasted very salty.

The Pun Chun "wedding Biscuit" survived the journey. Mamarazzi ate 3/4 of a biscuit. While Papa walloped 2 1/4 of the biscuit.

Where the the balance 1 piece gone? Into my tummy lor! While Papa and Mamarazzi was busy, I "ngap-ed" a whole biscuit by myself. Papa said "Ada tikus".

Last but not least, must go and look for Ah Moi

That one?

Enough or not ah? How many to buy?

This one is mine!

Looks like Pomelo price dropped this round. They have the RM10 for 2 Pomelo. Some people would buy the expensive Pomelo but Mamarazzi like to buy the RM10 for two types coz can finish eating it at one or two sitting. Moreover the skin of the Pomelo are not thick. It's quite thin.

Uncle Patrick bought two cempedak from Bidor. He gave one to us. WOw...the cempedak was really sweet and ripe. Have a very strong sweet smell.

Do you know what durian + Cempedak + Salted Chicken smell like if all these were put into the car? I know. ..hehehehe..It smell like instant noodle.

Visiting Auntie Claire and Labbie Again

After the aborted Penang trip, Papa woke up suddenly at 4 a.m. and said let's go Ipoh.  Kena Mamarazzi scold say "go sleep la". Then when we woke up properly Mamarazzi asked me whether wanna go Pasar or go Ipoh. I answered go Ipoh.

Mamarazzi asked the second time, I said neither wanna go Pasar nor Ipoh but I wanna go Funfair.

Well, somehow we end up in Ipoh later of the day.

Hello Labbie. Nice to see you again. Hope you don't mind I came without advance notice. Bad Mamarazzi la. Say wanna drop some books to Auntie Claire wor since we are in Ipoh.

Bad of her la. Some more did not tell Auntie Claire what time to expect our arrival. Ish...really expect Auntie Claire to wait at home whole day ka?

Auntie Claire was real nice. Haiyo...paiseh la...she dropped everything to entertain us..errr....not really everything lah. She still had on her clothes la.

Even brought us around for food hunting. Quite a number of shops didn't open that weekend.

 We had these Yam Cake.

 Then this fried kuih.

Ohh...this Bubur Cacar realllllly tasty. Not overtly creamy nor too sweet. Just nice.

I had fried Bihun and noodle.

Wah...Auntie Claire went all the way to buy this delicious Taufu Fa for us. The Syrup is ginger syrup. It was Auntie Florence first time tasting this and she praise it no end. She asked me to thank Auntie Claire very much.

Knowing Mamarazzi craze for Durian, Auntie Claire also went to all the trouble to "tapau" this durian for us. Wow...the pulp was really thick and taste bitter.

Haiyo...If Mamarazzi stay in Ipoh with Auntie Claire, her weight would go up in no time. It's amazing how Auntie Claire can keep her weight down with good food at every corner.

Thank you very much Auntie Claire

Makan and Jalan-Jalan At Bidor

If you are a reader of Auntie Claire's blog, you would have known that we headed up north last weekend. Supposed to go Penang  for a vacation this round when Papa came back but something came up. Last minute change of plans to Ipoh instead.

Aiyo...my bum bum also flat already. Hungry. Haven't had my breakfast. How many hours in the car ah?

Makan these Wu Kok (Fried Taro Dumpling?), while waiting for my bowl of noodle.

Yummylicious bowl of Duck Noodle. Mamarazzi just noticed, apart from goji, they also add dried longan.

Everyone enjoying the meal very much. Weird, nearly noon but how come no crowd? Usually it's very crowded.

 Mmmm.....tummy full full...happy...

Wanna get some snack for the road? A lot of yummy cakes and pastry.

Browse around at the shops and stalls nearby.

Gosh...so many types of fruit. The famous ones are the seedless guava and the Jambu air (Rose Apple?).
Omigosh!!! Gigantic Ciku (sapodilla)! Mamarazzi never saw such big Ciku before.

Jeng~jeng~jeng~ durian lovers, did you noticed anything difference in the top photo?

Okay...let's compare and see the bottom photo. On the left is the regular durians while on the right is the very spiky durians.

They are Durian Hutan. Not cheap. A pile of four cost RM25. We didn't buy any. Mamarazzi ate before. It's very bitter and have very strong smell.

Mamarazzi bought some lotus seed pods. You have to peel of the green skin and open the seed to take out the stem before you eat.

It's real sweet. A healthy munch while we continue our journey.

My Big Big TV Experience

Very sorry for the poor quality of the photos as Mamarazzi used her handset to snap the photos.

Mamarazzi said wanna bring me see "Big Big TV" coz she got 4 Free Tickets from Nuffnang. I was very excited. Woke up very early in the morning and kept telling Papa, "Go see "Big Big TV. Eat popcorn".

Many people recommend Mamarazzi to bring me see this "Riuh Rendah" movie. Ooooo....what a BIG blue bird! (Don't pronounce in Hokkien sudah lah)

 Jeng~Jeng~Jeng~ got our ticket already!

Papa bought Popcorn for us. I started the "feast" even before we got into the cinema.

I was astonished to see the gigantic "TV". The lights were off and I kept commenting to Papa "Never on light". Hmm..maybe people in this house tarak pay their TNB bill kot?

Then suddenly got loud sound coming from the "TV". Rather scary at first but after awhile, I was not afraid any more.

In fact, 15 minutes later I started "exploring". Going up and down the stairs without making noise. Then I got braver. I wanted to see the Big TV up close. Mamarazzi nearly pengsan when she saw me standing under the Big TV. Hmmm...can't see anything from there.

Aiya...don't know why everyone laughing all the times. Hmm..boring la. I spend the time eating Popcorn and exploring.

Halfway through, I asked Papa for "remote control". Boring la. I wanna change channel to Mickey Mouse Club House and I told Mamarazzi I don't want Big Big Tv anymore.

Well, the good thing that come out from this occasion is that I got a whole packet full of Popcorn for myself and these popcorn is tastier than those of Pasar Malam ones. Got a mug and a Lolipop.

Hmm....come to think of it....maybe I'll ask Papa to bring me see Big Big Tv some more so that I can have Popcorn and Lolipop

The Children's Life of Christ-The Soldier and His Servant by Enid Byton/ Baskin Robbins

It's Sunday. A day for relaxing and family time? Wanna have some Baskin Robbins Ice Cream? Really syok to eat Baskin Robbins Ice Cream but the queue that day was quite long. Haiz...if only I can have the Ice Cream magically appear just like in the soldiers whose servant being cured by Jesus without even laying sight on him.

Yup..you heard it right. There was this soldier whose favourite servant fell sick. Then he heard about Jesus and thought to seek Jesus help. He sent his people to sought out Jesus.

Jesus was busy at that time but Jesus had pity on the servant and agreed to go and see the servant.

While his men had gone to seek Jesus, the soldier thought again. Great man like Jesus must be very busy. If he can heal his servant when he meet the servant, he could also surely heal the servant without setting eye on the servant.

Thus, the Soldier send out more men to meet Jesus. The men met Jesus halfway and he told Jesus what the soldier had said. Jesus was impressed by the faith the Soldier had on him, as even his own people did not have such faith on him.

After they have given Jesus the message, they went back to the Soldier. They were met by the Soldier. The Soldier was delighted as he was convinced that the men had indeed met Jesus for his favourite servant was cured.

Meantime, what's a nice day to enjoy a load of Ice Cream. Yum yum.

Hmm..Papa pulak love this minty taste Ice-Cream. Mamarazzi said yuck as it taste like toothpaste. Do you like Minty taste Ice-cream and chocolate?
