Samy and Ah Her Bak Kut Teh @ Taman Berkeley, Klang

Last month, Mamarazzi was on a "crazy porky" mode again. Wanting to have BKT. Hence, we head out to Klang on a rainy evening to look for BKT.

Papa very clever. Found this BKT. Said to be very famous in Klang wor.

This BKT is very similar to Pao Xiang BKT. It does not come in one big pot but ordered by bowl punya. Different part of meat different bowl.

Baru 7 p.m. but a lot of things finished already. No more "spare parts".  We had the "Half fat and half lean" meat.

The lean meat.

And the small bone.

All these plus 3 rice, tea and soft drinks comes up to RM27 only. Much much cheaper than Pao Xiang BKT.

Taste wise? Yummy Yummy...delicious to the bone. I wanted to bring this doggy bone home but Mamarazzi said cannot.

You know the famous house decorator Eric Leong? I saw him makan-ing there too as we were finishing. EEee...he also botak and hensem boy like me.

Mamarazzi said the BKT is delicious but a tad oily as compared to others.

Here is the address just in case you wanted to have a try No. 17, Ground Floor, Jalan Angsa, Taman Berkeley, 41150 Klang, Selangor

BookXcess & Uncle Snacks Corner, Amcorp Mall

Went to BookXcess shopping again on Wednesday. Wah...so many new books. Don't know where to start.

I wanna see that one can or not?

A lot of new Children books. Saw a  Christmas Story Book Collection with Toys Story hero at the cover RM24-90. I bet Juan Or would love this one.

Then there is also Paddington Bear book.

Wah lau eh...even have Power Rangers Magnetic board book at RM17-90

Sampai at the Customer Service counter saw this Dinosaur Pop Up book. Terkejut. Vivid printing. Lucky the Dinosaurs didn't bite me. Mamarazzi didn't buy for me coz she say I would end up tearing up the book.

Mamarazzi pulak sibuk eyeing her book. Saw her Kylie Kwong book but The Treasure of China missing liao. Must have been grabbed by people or maybe placed elsewhere. After all, Mamarazzi got "four eye" sure can't see much.

Finally after browsing for about 10 minutes, Mamarazzi bought these. The Chinese cook book was a bargain at RM9-90 though some of the pages a bit crumpled la.

Yay...she finally bought the Kylie Kwong book. Hardcover. Original price nearly RM250. At BX, she got it for RM49-90 with extra 5% discount for purchases above RM50.

She really gone mad lo....she love the book very much. Paper quality and illustration all very good.

.
After shopping, went pick up Ah Mah and Kaw Poh from the hospital and went back to makan at Uncle Snacks Corner

Ordered their set lunch. It comes with drinks. We had red dates and Barley. Yummm..

I had clear soup yellow noodle. Wah...the taukeh gave me such a big bowl with lotsa noodle and "liu"

Ah Mah had Fried Keoy teow. Not sure taste good or not but looks good la.

Papa's Ginger Beef Rice with Spring Onion. Also huge portion. Guess the portion here are all very big since it cater for office workers. Not that expensive also.

Mamarazzi's bowl of Curry Mee. Yumm yumm...very huge portion also with a lot of liu.

The same can't be said for Kaw Poh's bowl of Keoy Teow Curry. There were some misunderstanding hence she end up with Vegetarian Keoy Teow Curry. But the portion of the keoy Teow was still big.

Total bill RM37. Not bad , right? For 5 person wor.

Last round we came here, we found that the food here is not bad

This round we had Talapia Steam with Minced Ginger. Lucky they pandai. Didn't give us big fish. If not sure cannot finish.

Let me taste...tasty but a tad oily. Where did all the oil come from?

Next comes Sliced Pork with Salted Fish. Very yummy dish. Fuiyo...even the lalat also come.

Can eat two plates of rice with this delicious dish

Next comes spinach soup. Uiks...got century eggs punya. Not bad la.

Alamak, forgot how much was the bill.

The food taste not bad la.

Restaurant Pan Heong, Batu Caves(3rd Visit)

Wow...so many biscuits and cookies. Didn't notice this on our previous trips here.

Hehehe....Fried Fu Chuk. I have better curi makan some before Papa ngap all.

This round we ordered plain Wat Tan Hor. Very big portion for two person. And a lot of "liu" too. Even got both the white and the brown sotong. ...errr...at least that's what Mamarazzi call them la since she don't know the proper name.

Do I have to tell you this dish is delicious? No need right?

Mamarazzi also order their famous porridge. There are two types. One is fish and one is pork ribs with dried oyster.

Although Mamarazzi ordered portion for 1 person, it came in a big bowl. More than 1 person can eat.

Mamarazzi should have ordered the Fish one coz the Pork Ribs one was not that good. There are a lot of pork ribs in it but the ribs have "sou" smell. The dried oyster was not soaked long enough hence it's still hard when bite into.

Notwithstanding that, the porridge itself was tasty.

If you are in this area and feels that the Fresh Prawns Noodles is too expensive, then do try their plain ones. In fact, we loved their plain noodle more than the Fresh Prawns Noodles.

Softly and Tenderly By Sara Evans with Rachel Hauck

Here is a delightful book from Thomas Nelson Publisher.
This is the second book of the Songbird novel. The first was titled "The Sweets By and By" where Jade Fitzgerald had to deal with her painful past and the rejection of her first love.
In this second book, Jade had married Max Benson. Her future seems to be bright. An owner of two successful boutiques. A man that she loves very much. What else can a woman wants? Maybe a child or two?

That is when Max broke her trust and breaks her heart.

He confesses that he has an illegitimate son and the worse is that he wants to raise the boy in their home!

What can Jade do? She was hurt and confused. Moreover her mother was sick. Hence she took the chance to bring her mother back to Iowa, their home.

But at her childhood home there is also a problem - her first love. Here she struggle to come in term with her past and decide how to deal with her future with support from her family and faith.

This story is very frightening. Can we love a child from another woman? I love the character, Jade. Her feelings and emotions were well developed.

A word of caution. Better read this book with a tub of Chocolate Ice Cream by your side.

Claypot Loh Shi Fun at Restaurant Makanan Laut Yoke Heng, Serdang Raya

This is a very late post.  Went there after going to the Preview of BBWS.

Hmm....everyone makan buku enough la. No need to eat dinner liao. My tummy playing drums liao.

Their famous Homemade Taufu. Cham...I think Auntie Woo going to have rashes already. Very tasty.

Gotta eat some greens also. Don't like this much coz it was very oily and a bit over cooked.

I like the Hokkien Mee la. Don't have the weird noodle taste. Yummy yummy. Not much liu as compared to the one at Jalan Hang Tuah.
.

Jeng~jeng~jeng..the "main dish". Claypot Loh Shi Fun. Taste still as yummy as previous visit.

Must eat while it's hot. After cold already not nice. Great to eat with pickled cili and black vinegar.
