Bedtime Stories And Prayers By Enid Blyton-The Man Who Was Robbed & Real Life Samaritans

According to Enid Blyton's story, there was once a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho on a lonely mountain road.

There were robbers in the mountain. They robbed him and beaten him up badly. He was left wounded by the roadside. Nobody around to help

Soon he heard the foot steps of a Priest. He thought he was saved as Priest is a man of God. But then the Priest cross over to the other side of the road and pretend didn't see nor heard his cries for help.

No long after that came a Levite man who had helped in the church. The man thought he would certainly help him. But then once again his hope was dashed.

Then came a man on a donkey from Samaria. The man thought the Samaritan would certainly won't help him as Samaritan is notorious for being bad.

To his surprise, the Samaritan came over and helped him. Brought him to an inn and paid for his room and board. He make sure the poor man was taken good care off.

Jesus told this story so that people might know what is to be a good friend.

Recently we have come across some very Good Samaritans too.

Mamarazzi have been unwell a few weeks ago and Papa was overseas for work. Unable to fly home immediately.

Good Samaritan comes out from everywhere to help and took care of Mamarazzi and me. They are :

Mommy Ling, who dropped by nearly daily "tapau-ing" food for Mamarazzi and me. Pan mee, Red Bean Dessert, economy noodles, buying grocery and even brighten my day with a pack of Vitagen. Refusing to accept any $$. Even offer to babysit me should the needs arise.

Auntie Cynthia and

Princess Breanna, who bake cake, made BKT and brought Leong Sui for Mamarazzi. Auntie Cynthia even become "driver" and drove Auntie Little Bird to visit Mamarazzi and me.

Auntie Little Bird, whose "evil heart" made kikisi for me to eat and bought me Dan Neh Noh Happy Meal to cheer me up. She also offer to take me in.

Auntie Claire, whose constant sensible advices and prayer calmed Mamarazzi down.

Auntie Chee Yee and Kor Kor Manglish whose messages gave cheer to Mamarazzi.

Uncle Alex, who is Mamarazzi old friend and trusty insurance agent who came to visit and advices on matter regarding to insurance claims. If you wanna get insurance, there is no better agent than him.

Auntie Siew who took leave to accompany Mamarazzi to the Hospital and even offer financial help should the need arise.

Last but not least Uncle Patrick and Auntie Florence who sacrifice time, money and effort in chauffeuring Mamarazzi to and fro to clinics and hospital. Ya..dumb dumb Mamarazzi had a phobia on driving.

They waited with us in clinics and hospital for hours.

Auntie Florence even stay over to take care of me fearing that Mamarazzi might faint after taking a whole loads of medicine. And Uncle Patrick had to take a cab for his medical check up cause Auntie Florence was taking Mamarazzi to see the Doctor.

How to repay these Good Samaritans? Can't. Mamarazzi just hope that she could be a good friend to them like the Samaritan in the story during their time of need as they have done in our time of need.

Thank you!

While I Was At Sg Buloh Hospital

While Mamarazzi was waiting to see the Specialist at Sg Buloh Hospital, I managed to...

Run around here and there like beruk lepas tali. The hospital really have vast floor area. Very clean some more.

Got some Kakak and Abang there. I tried to chat them up and make friend with them.

Wah... got free water dispenser also ah? I didn't see this at the Private Hospital geh. Really la..this government hospital almost everything also FREE.

Finally Mamarazzi is "utilising" the taxes that she was paying previously.

Pay RM5 only to see Specialist. Tests, Medicine and everything all included in the RM5.

Even the Biopsy is FREE. Unlike the Private Hospital which quoted Mamarazzi RM1.5K to RM1.6K for the Biopsy(not including operation room and the lab tests)

Mamarazzi heard a lot of horror stories about government hospital that makes you wait from morning till evening just to see the Doctors. She finds that it's not true here.

We arrived around 12p.m. Seen the Doctor around 1p.m. Then it was lunch time.

The doctor asked us to go for lunch first and came back around 2.30p.m. to get the Blood Test result.

We came back a round 2.30p.m but the Doctor was not in. The admin desk said he had gone rounding the wards. Waited till around 3.00p.m. Got the blood result and the Doctor prescribed some anti-itching medicine for Mamarazzi's rashes.

Then we proceed to the Pharmacy Section and collect the medicine.

There was small play area at the Pharmacy. I played Horsey and with a girl girl. Shhh...don't tell my dear ya. Later she angry.

We had out lunch at the hospital. Eeee...How come my Kaw Kaw Let's Go opened a shop here ah?
They have 1901 Hotdog here! WOW! Papa bought two. One for Mamarazzi and one for himself.

I had the lone hotdog. Okay okay...I know it look a bit obscene but that's is how a Hotdog should be eaten, right?

They also have Nasi Goreng Kangkung. Mamarazzi was puzzled. Huh? Kangkung? Not Kampung ah? Papa said taste not bad as he had this type of Nasi Goreng before. If not mistaken the price was RM1-90 only.

Then wash it all down with a packet of Green Tea drink. Not bad la the facilities at this hospital.

Resurrection In May By Lisa Samson

This is Mamarazzi’s first book from Booksneeze.com. Many thanks to Auntie Cleffairy who introduced this website to Mamarazzi.

Thomas Nelson has provided Mamarazzi with a complimentary copy of this book as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program. She is not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% her own opinion.

Resurrection In May written by Lisa Samson tells the story of May Seymour who just graduated from college and have the whole life ahead of her when Claudius Borne stumble upon her. She was at a stage where she didn’t know what to do with her life.

Claudius Borne, was a gentle old man who can relate well with animals and plants rather than human. His whole world revolves around his farm. May had a friend in him.

May left on a mission to Rwanda while waiting for result of her various application for job. There she found love in loving other human beings and believing in God. That is until a tragedy struck and she “died”.

She was a walking and living corpse when she comes back to Claudius farm to heal. In helping her, Claudius also found himself a “daughter”. She stayed for many years, reclusive.

Years later she learns that her old college flame, Eli is in death row and refusing to appeal the sentence. She is determined to help Eli but instead this determination changed her life.

Mamarazzi love this book. It’s easy to read. The language flows by itself and meaningful

This is a thought provoking and emotionally charged. Not for those who likes to read the beginning and skipped to the ending type of person. Every page there is a message.

The book is about faith, forgiveness, second chance and love.

Mamarazzi would recommend this book to those who need a resurrection in their faith and life.

My Photos From eoe Online

Yesterday afternoon someone knocked at the door. Must be Mr Courier Man sending me my photos from eoe Online. It was the 3rd day. The e-mail confirmation from eoe Online said the photos will arrive within 3 working days.

Oooo..really oh..arrived within 3 days wor. Mamarazzi ordered 50pieces of 4R photos and 2 pieces of 8R photos.

They company very "seng muk". Put a piece of card board to support the 8R photos so that it would get crumpled.

Wow! I look so handsome in big print.

They even put the 4R photos into two small albums for me. Just like those Kedai Gambar.

Quality wise not bad. Those outdoor photos are clear but indoors photos not as good.

This is NOT eoe Online fault. It's Mamarazzi's camera fault. The setting not right. Or rather the "user" not right. Must ask her to learn photography from Jie Jie uLi and Uncle Vialentino.

Hmmm...I can't seems to stop admiring my photos. Mamarazzi called me Narcissus. Said am vain.

Don't care lah. Mamarazzi is just jealous that I am more photogenic than her mah.

This is a good place to put my photo with Papa. Later Papa come home from work sure he will be very happy.

Next mission is to go "bodek" Mamarazzi to get more of my photos printed. Must take advantage of the current promotion that eoe Online is having. Mana lagi nak dapat such good offer? 4R print at only RM0.30 and free delivery (subject to terms and condition)for orders above RM35.00. Durian runtuh leh.

The Story of The Nodes

On 2nd July, Mamarazzi woke up with this nasty lump on her neck. She thought nothing of it. Maybe just heatiness due to too much durian or what.

Then on 4th of July it became worse. More lumps appeared. Mamarazzi started to feel weird. And thought of going to the doctor the next day.

Somehow an angel must have been watching us as Auntie Florence text Mamarazzi for a chit chat and the matter of the lump came up.

She immediately said she'll come over in the morning to bring Mamarazzi to the doctor. Papa was not around.

The next day we went to the clinic. The 1st clinic immediately refer Mamarazzi to specialist. This really shocked her.

Thus we went for a 2nd opinion. The 2nd clinic use a ultra sound scanner and scanned Mamarazzi's neck. Found that four Lymph Nodes were enlarged/swollen.

According to the Doctor, the Lymph Nodes are swollen because some bacteria/virus is attacking Mamarazzi's body and the Lymph Nodes acts as quarantine center. The Lymph Nodes are trying to fight the bacteria/virus.

The doctor asked Mamarazzi whether she would like to be refer to the hospital or that she would like to try antibiotic first.

Mamarazzi opt to try antibiotic first.

The first day taking the antibiotic, Mamarazzi's neck felt a burning sensation. Maybe the antibiotic was trying to fight the bacteria/virus.

But then after 3 days of antibiotic, more swollen Lymph Nodes appeared. Looks like Mission Failed.

Haiz...what to do...have to go to the Hospital. We went to Private Hospital in view that the lumps seems to be growing very rapidly.

Lucky, once again Auntie Florence and Uncle Patrick came and helped. They brought Mamarazzi to the Hospital. Uncle Patrick babysit me and I managed to con him into buying KitKat Chocolate for me.

Meanwhile, Mamarazzi and Auntie Florence went and see the Cartoon Specialist.

Why "Cartoon Specialist"? That one you have to ask Auntie Little Bird. Mamarazzi unwittingly chosen a Doctor whose name is similar to a Cartoon character...unfortunately the antics of the doctor was also very "cartoon".

The Cartoon Specialist ordered a whole series of tests.

Omigosh! These are the scan of Mamarazzi multiple swollen lymph nodes. The largest being 2.2cm x 1.16cm. No wonder so painful.

The report on the Chest X-Ray and the Ultra Sound of the neck.

Also did a test on TB, in which Mamarazzi became a Guinea Pig to a Trainee nurse. Haiyo! The expert Indonesian nurse was teaching the Malaysian Trainee nurse. Mamarazzi buta-buta kena jab twice by the Trainee.

In the end, the Cartoon Specialist prescribed a week of antibiotic and painkiller to Mamarazzi. If by the end of the week the swelling yet to go down, Mamarazzi will have to have more test done and maybe biopsy or surgery.

After taking the antibiotic for two days, there was no improvement. Also Mamarazzi started to have swollen gums and toothache.

Once again, Auntie Florence came to help. We went to the dentist and he checked. Said Mamarazzi have gums problem.

Mamarazzi told him about the Lymph Nodes and the Cartoon Specialist medication.

The dentist saw the medication and told Mamarazzi that she need to take Metro which is for bacteria that can survived without air.

After taking the antibiotic for 3 days, Mamarazzi can feel the swelling had reduced a bit.

By then it was time to go back to the Cartoon Specialist for a follow up. Mamarazzi thought there would be good news since the swelling had gone down slightly.

Mana tau when we went into the Cartoon Specialist's room he press press the lumps and straight say no improvement. Didn't even do any scan. Straight asked Mamarazzi to do biopsy and enquire about Mamarazzi's health insurance status.

He seems happy when he heard Mamarazzi have health insurance and wanted to pass documents to Mamarazzi for signing.

He said he have to cut out one of the swollen Lymph Nodes for the biopsy and it's a minor surgery. Mamarazzi asked the cost and he told Mamarazzi a figure.

Mamarazzi remembered reading Eugene's blog hospital charging different amount for cash payment and medical card payment. She was determined to test the Cartoon Specialist. She asked him whether there is any difference. He told Mamarazzi there is no difference. Everything control by the Medical Board.

By his answer, Mamarazzi had lost confidence in him. Because Mamarazzi know that there is difference. Not only because of Eugene blog but because of her friends who are in insurance line told her the same thing.

There are also certain other issue which made Mamarazzi lost confidence in him but not appropriate to reveal here.

She thus told the Specialist that she need to think first. Moreover Papa was coming home the next day. Need to discuss with Papa

After discussion with Papa, we decide most probably the bacteria is from the gums. The next day which was a Saturday, Mamarazzi woke up slightly flu-ish. Maybe jangkit the flu from me.

Papa bring us the Dentist once again for an emergency appointment. The Dentist checked and saw the gums have much improved. Advised that Lymph Nodes will need some time to get back to normal. But if in a week or two if it's still very swollen then should go seek Specialist. He prescribed another round of antibiotic.

Mamarazzi took the antibiotic. But when she arrived home the flu was quite bad. Thus she took a Clarinese for flu.

No long after that she started to have terrible headache. By night time whole face was red and some rashes on the hand.

Thought maybe the antibiotic clash with Clarinese. She drank a lot of water to clear the toxin.

By Sunday, body started to have rashes. Sunday tarak Doctor. Mamarazzi had time and thus she googled her symptom. Seems like similar to rubella as Mamarazzi had most of the symptoms except from fever and red eyes.

Extracted from www.mayoclinic.com
The signs and symptoms of rubella are often so mild that they're difficult to notice, especially in children. If signs and symptoms do occur, they generally appear between two and three weeks after exposure to the virus. They typically last about two to three days and may include:
  • Mild fever of 102 F (38.9 C) or lower
  • Headache
  • Stuffy or runny nose
  • Inflamed, red eyes
  • Enlarged, tender lymph nodes at the base of the skull, the back of the neck and behind the ears
  • A fine, pink rash that begins on the face and quickly spreads to the trunk and then the arms and legs, before disappearing in the same sequence
  • Aching joints, especially in young women

Mamarazzi was vaccinated for Rubella before. It seems that though vaccinated, there is always a 5% chance of failure where the body didn't develop antibodies for it.

Thus, Monday we went to clinic. The Doctor said could be allergic reaction to the medication and advise us to go to hospital. But he did gave some medicine to reduce the rashes and itchiness.

By Tuesday the rashes had increased and we went to Sg Buloh Hospital.

Aisey...thought the hospital very "Cheh Kai" but was real surprised that it's very modern and efficient. In fact more efficient that the Private Hospital that we went to.

Mamarazzi asked the Specialist there whether it could be Rubella. But the Doctors did not directly answer Mamarazzi. They said it could be anything. But most probably it's due to the various kinds of medicine that Mamarazzi have been taking.

They did not give anymore medication to Mamarazzi as they said any bacteria/virus that needs to be kill are already dead from all the antibiotics that she have been taking. The rashes are just the end result. They give Mamarazzi calamine lotion and anti itching medicine. Mamarazzi was to go back in a week time for biopsy if the lump still there.

That week, Papa had to fly again. We stayed home and self quarantine just in case it's Rubella. Ya..that's why Mamarazzi have been having "Bookathon" for the past two weeks.

Anyway, we went back to the hospital for follow up last week. Most of the swollen Lymph Nodes are back to normal. Left only the initial one still slightly swollen.

The Specialist said since we were there, might as well do the biopsy for our peace of mind. This one is simpler than what the private Hospital had intended to do. Here, they just insert needle into the lymph nodes and took some tissue sample.

Saw the two punctured marks? Nope...not bitten by the Vampire. Those were the place where the Doctor jab jab Mamarazzi to take sample. Can see the lumps visibly smeller size, right?

Well...all seems to be well now. Till the next follow up in September...yipee!

Father And Son Bonding Time

Mamarazzi was unwell that day. Lay on the bed like mayat hidup with me getting very restless.

Thus, Papa took me go gai gai to let Mamarazzi recuperate at home.

Papa brought me to Dan Neh Noh for some father and son bonding time.

Guess what Papa told Mamarazzi when we got home? He said rupa-rupa I love Dan Neh Noh not for the food. Rather I love the Playland and the Happy Meals Toy especially if it is toy car.

Papa also got me this Barney Bag. We went into the shop. I wanted the Pink Hello Kitty Trolley Bag but Papa bought me this one.

Then Papa also got me this remote control toy car. I love it.

Here is a video of me playing with the remote control toy car. Please ignore the messy background. Mamarazzi still not that well yet.
