Restaurant Yuen Garden, Bandar Puchong Jaya

*Yawn* Long journey. Finally we arrived at Restaurant Yuen Garden which is famous for its Dim Sum.

Corner lot at Bandar Puchong Jaya. Already nearly 4p.m. Still quite a number of people having Dim Sum here.

I hope the food is good coz am hungry. Haven't have proper lunch yet. Had "Dan Neh Noh" while Mamarazzi was having a buying frenzy at BookXcess earlier.

Porridge with pork and century egg. Tak nampak bayang of the century egg but have salted egg la.

taste taste first

Mmmm....not that nice. A bit too salty.

Where are the Dim Sum? Hope it will taste better than the porridge.

Ahhh finally here...

Har Kow with Scallop. Taste very good. The Scallop was very big. Prawn were fresh.

Siew Loong Pau. RM5 a basket of three. Taste much better than the ones from Dragon-i, 1Utama and the Room Eighteen, Tropicana City Mall. And much cheaper too. Can taste the meat. Not mixed with a lot of flour.

Siew Mai. Bouncy Prawns and sweet pork meat. Yum...

Fried carrot cake. Fried with enough "Wok Hei". The taugeh was still crunchy and not lembik.

Papa loves this Steam Pork Rib. Ordered two plate. Said the taste here is different from others wor. Mamarazzi tak sempat snap photo, Papa ngap-ed half a plate already

Errr...forgot the name of this dish..steamed something..something bamboo ... Mamarazzi love this one. Said delicious wor.

Another forgotten name...something Salted Egg...Sorry about that coz too lapar liao. Brain could not function properly. Moreover this one taste yummy. Too busy enjoying this than remembering the name.

And to top of the meal is a Dai Pau. Papa punya. Papa gave me some but I was too full to eat anymore.

The Dim Sum here are quite cheap considering that they are tasty. Price around RM3 or RM4 per basket.

This restaurant is located at No 02-01, Jalan Kenari 18, Bandar Puchong Jaya, 47100 Puchong.

Starved While Mamarazzi Feed On Books

Starving. Isk isk isk...Mamarazzi ni teruk la. Heard Bookxcess new shipment came in, rush to grab pulak. Lunch also become tea time liao.

Moreover the other day she won Gift Voucher from BookXcess leh. Say wanna go and claim.

Wow... a lot of stock. See till Mamarazzi's eyes also blurred.

Gone Withe The Wind - Margaret Mitchell, The Wedding Day -Catherine Alliott, Vintage Affair- Isabel Wolff, How to Survive Sisters - Ellie Campbell and Shopaholic Abroad- Sophie Kinsella.

Violin-Anne Rice, The Marriage Proposal-Celestine Hitiura Vaite, The Children's Book - A.S.Byatt and 2666 -Roberto Bolano

And many children books. Pop-up books, Giant Puzzle, book with toys and animal books.

Books for toddler, kids and those who think themselves are kid (like Mamarazzi). Some more last week was their Children's Week promotion. There was a 20% off on selected titles.

Mamarazzi spied these two books. Bet that Auntie Claire and Kor Kor Manglish would like. Auntie Claire is a Fan of Danielle Steel books and Manglish Kor Kor seems to love challenging books. This War and Peace book ngum gua. Mamarazzi tried to read it long ago but gave up.

These are the four books that Mamarazzi didn't buy after browsing for so long. Maybe hoping BookXcess will have a Blog Bonanza on them kot? And then she can muka tebal and join. Perhaps will win again leh. Nice books.

However, Mamarazzi did managed to borong quite a few good books.

Ford County- John Grisham. Hopefully this book is better than some of his latest books which have "tapau-ed" ending.

Mamarazzi kept harping on this Nigel Rees Book on All Gong And No Dinner book. Said it's a very interesting book wor. Say it's about Ang Moh's Peribahasa. Mamarazzi really love peribahasa.

Mamarazzi read in Joanna Jie Jie post say this Wolf Hall book is The Winner of 2009 Man Booker Prize. This is when Mamarazzi's kiasu syndrome kicks in.

Fuiyoh..this book very thick leh. Sure read till mata rabun or I will end up eating fried rice again.

The cover of Indra Sinha book really attracted Mamarazzi's attention. People say don't judge a book by it's cover, but this one should be good since it's was shortlisted for The 2007 Man Booker Prize.

Remember Mamarazzi's post on Tilly Bagshawe? She love that story very much and was interested to read more of Tilly Bagshawe books.

She saw two "Bagshawe" books left on the shelf thus she grabbed la. Being "four eyes", Mamarazzi didn't realise one of the author is Louise Bagshawe and not Tilly Bagshawe. I wonder who is this Louise Bagshawe. Adik-beradik with Tilly Bagshawe gua since both share the same family name.

This one pulak..a free book. Auntie Cleff give punya. Thank you very much ...errr...got some more ka? I love the sexy girl leh.

Bedtime Stories And Prayers By Enid Blyton- The Beautiful Garden

Yay..Mamarazzi read to me the 2nd chapter of the book by Enid Blyton.

The 2nd Chapter of the book is about how God made Man. The first man that God made was Adam. Then he created Eve from Adam. Eve become Adam's wife.

They live in a beautiful garden that God made for them. God told them they are allowed to do as they please in the Garden and eat whatever in the garden. However, they are not to eat the fruit from The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God told them if they eat the fruit from that tree their happiness will go away.

Well, they initially obeyed God. But then one day a very bad snake asked Eve why she don't eat that fruit. Eve told the snake God had forbid it.

The bad snake then convinced Eve to eat coz he said God is afraid if Adam and Eve eat the fruit, they will be as great and powerful as God.

Haiz...this Eve pulak go and listen to the snake. She should have catch the snake and cook the snake mah. Haiyo...people say snake meat very "pou" punya.

Well, unfortunately, Eve ate the fruit and gave some to Adam.

Alamak! The God come to visit them. They suddenly become afraid and ashamed.

Uh-oh..God knows something is up. They confessed that they have eaten the fruit from the Forbidden Tree because the Snake hasut them. God, then condemned the Snake to crawl along the ground and never be able to lift itself up.

Meantime, God was very disappointed by Adam and Eve. And he turned them out of the Beautiful Garden. To go to Earth and work hard for their living...sad ....

Moral of the story...they really should have cooked the snake...just joking...the real moral of the story is listen to God and do not be tempted to do wrong

"Efficient" TM Reply

Remember Mamarazzi's post yesterday? She did wrote to TM, telling the about the phone line and Internet line that "dies" for 5-6 hours each time it rained.

Also to ask them why nobody is answering their helpline at 03-55109191. Discontinued or what? How to expect people to dial "100" using handset?

Their standard reply comes very fast too.

"Escalated to action". Means what? Another fancy wording for they will look into the matter?

And the "killer response" is "please call hotline '100'. " ...Aiyo...Have to pinjam neighbour's phone ka? Not necessary have house phone also in view most people are using handset nowadays and even if have, their phone line would have been down too.

Well, the good news is that their Customer Service had contacted Mamarazzi and they are looking into the matter coz according to the guy, the down time should be a few minutes only. Not a few hours.

And according to the guy, Celcom can be use to call the "100". Thus, now...either Mamarazzi have to get Celcom as backup or go complaining to other telco why their service does not include calling the "100" number.

*pengsan-ed* No eyes see.

A Mystery Card

I wonder who sent this to Mamarazzi. She said the sender wish to remain anonymous wor.

Hmm..maybe I should befriend Josie Prescott. Then I can ask her to investigate who this anonymous person is.

The card is to wish Mamarazzi a Happy Mother's Day

A card cum bookmark. Wow...Thank you very much for the lovely thoughts, Messrs Anonymous.

Will I get a Children Day card?

A Good Mystery

This have been occurring quite often especially when it rains. Each time, the phone line and Internet line will be down for 5-6 hours.

And each time it rains, Mamarazzi would shoo shoo me to dreamland.

So that she could explore her world of delicious books.

Recently she discovered this lovely book. "Consigned To Death" By Jane K Cleland.

It's about an antiques dealer called Josie Prescott who moves to the New Hampshire from New York, for a fresh start.

The reason for her move was due to her being the Whistle-blower on her boss price fixing scheme. Though she was in the right, despite her ethical stance and refused the 15 minutes limelight of giving interviews to nosey reporters, her colleagues treated her like a pariah.

Her boss was in the wrong but she was the one who was shunned.

Thus she came to New Hampshire for a fresh start. Haiz......mana tau once again she was thrown into the limelight. This time much worse. One of her potential client was murdered and there seems to be a conspiracy to frame her.

She was new to the area but lucky for her she made some reliable and trustworthy friends. Her lawyer, Max and Wes, surprisingly a reporter who believe in her innocent. Wes, also promise that he won't make use of her and publish her story without her go ahead.

Another promising thing is that there is a hint of romance or was it entrapment going on between her and Chief Alverez of the Police Force. Though her finger prints were on the murder weapon and someone had planted evidence pointing to her being the murderer, Chief Alverez did not arrest her. He goes on to investigate or seems to be doing that. Is he interested in her or just trying to give her rope to hang herself?

And the result..........................sendiri baca la...Mamarazzi don't wanna spoilt the ending for you all ler.

Overall, it was a very good mystery novel. No four letter words.

P/S : Yesterday Mamarazzi won RM10 Voucher from BookXcess from their Blog Bonanza 35...Guess we will be heading there too to borong more books.
