It had been quite sometime since I encountere...
Sometimes Mamarazzi would buy fishball for me to eat in the car from the PasarMalam.
One morning, I woke up and discovered that there is a big plastic bag full of "fishball" on the floor.
Very weird leh. Unlike the ones from the PasarMalam, these have many "fishballs" in one "stick". Apalagi, I grabbed a stick lah.
Oppss....I grabbed aje, all the "fishballs" fell off from the stick. I had to go searching for my balls. Later, Papa told me it's not fishball. It's Dokong. It's a type of fruit. Cannot eat like that. Have to peel off the skin before eating these "balls".
Hope you had a good laugh out of this. At this time, I should be at Kong-Kong and Ah Mah's home.
This is a belated post again. It happen about 3 weeks ago. Auntie Florence and Uncle Patrick came to visit us again. We had dinner together. Decided to try out the ChoongFong Restaurant at No8, Lorong 1D, KampungSubang, 40000 Shah Alam.
From the outside, the restaurant looks ordinary but when went inside it was totally different case all together. Very clean and very large. It can cater for wedding and birthdays banquet.
As we were looking for ordinary meal,we order young sweet potato leaves. This one tasted very good.I kept asking for more.
Chicken cooked in Thai Style. Taste okay la nothing out of the ordinary.
hehehe...this is my favourite.Soup..soup...
Salted Vege with Taufu Soup.
Wow...this soup tasted very good. The "Squid" was very fresh.
Taufu with Angle Gourd. Taste a bit too salty for everyone.
Oooo....so much ah?
Total bill comes up to RM66. I have not eye see loh.Ordinary dishes also so expensive. *pengsan* I guess, this is called pay for the "ambiance" gua
Remember what Mamarazzi said yesterday regarding having a dinner date thus not able to watch my "non-aired interview"? Well, we went for dinner with some close friends at Restaurant WaiKei at S/Lot 2, Bt 4 1/2, Old Klang Rd, K.L(contact :013-3918269 and 016-2276210) . Got to know about this restaurant thruFOODBIN's blog.
Pomelo. Cut and peeled by Mamarazzi. Eat liao sure "LohYau, LohYau".
Chicken Wine. Mamarazzi and Auntie Florence like this very much as it's rich with wine taste. But the rest of the gang said the wine taste it's a bit too much. Weird leh..why they put fried egg ah?
Yong Tau Foo, recommended by the Boss.10pieces. Price duno. Mamarazzi like the YTF very much. The fish paste not much starch. A lot of fish.
Sweet Potatoes Leaves. Young and nice. And Mamarazzi can heard Cleffairy asking "Wat? sweet pots AGAIN?".
Pork Ribs with Bean Paste. To Mamarazzi this dish tasted so-so only.
Brinjal cooked with Dried shrimp. Nice. The dried shrimped was very crunchy.
See my "rosey" cheeks? Mabukliao. CozMamarazzi fed me rice with Chicken Wine gravy....wiwangwangliao.
Uiks! Mandarin Oranges. The Boss give each of us a complimentary "FattChoyKum". Wow...big big mandarin orange.
Alamak! Papa must be mabukliao also. Sumbat two "kum"into my baju. Now I've got two BIG nennen ....
Oh ya...you must be wondering why your comments for yesterday post have yet to be published. This is because by the time you are reading this, we have arrived at Kong-Kong and Ah Mah's home. Thus, no internet connection.
However, do feel free to leave your comments. Mamarazzi will reply as soon as we come back.
Meantime, do come and visit this blog when you have time during CNYcozMamarazzi stayed up and scheduled a whole bunch of posts. Some are funny while some are about makanmakan again.
It's that time of the year again. Mamarazzi's annual"pilgrimage" to Petaling Street. This year rather quiet without Auntie Enny. She is busy with Baby Lyvia.
This SzeNganChye Roast Duck Stall is a MUST stop check point for Mamarazzi. Lucky we arrive early coz by noon all the ducks were sold. This year naikharga again. RM42/duck. But worth it. Very sedap!
After grabbing the ducks, it's time to carimakan. Madras Lane was a bit too crowded so we went to Tang City Food Court.
Argghhh....hungry...thirsty...
My bowl of Pork Ball Noodle. RM4. I ate just a few mouthful only. Not sure whether it's the noodle taksedap or the hot weather.
Papa's plate of Wan Tan Mee RM4.50. Taste so-so la.
Mamarazzi's plate of CKT. RM3.30. The KeoyTeow was a bit too soft for Mamarazi's taste.
Wow...food at at Petaling Street sure expensive. Tourist area.
As we were shopping, that was when I had my 2nd encounter with the Lions. There were two Lions "raiding" the Fung Wong Confectionery. Psssst..pssst...Mr Lion, can give me some biscuits or not? Am still hungry.
Mr Lion came bouncing out from Fung Wong Confectionery. I guess their tummy full full already thus so happy la.
I wanna play "horsey, horsey" on Mr Lion but Papa kept holding me back.
In the end, I have to be content with sayangsayangMrLion. Hope that Mr Lion will pass some good luck to me. Hmm ....this Mr Lion tarak distribute Mandarin orange geh.
Then Mr Lion got bored and he climb up very high.Naughty naughty.
Hahaha...too scared to come down.
Okie, bye bye Mr Lion. Next time guaiguai don't climb so high, ok. If fall down pain pain oh.
Alamak...Come buy CNY decoration also kena interview by RTMka? Huh?will be aired in 8pm new? How la...? 8p.m. we have got "dating"wor. Hmm...okie will ask people to record for me.
Cheh....tarak pun aired in TV2 8pm news. Hmm....I guess they edited out my face gua.Not photogenic enough. But lucky Mamarazzi managed to record a bit using her phone's video.
We received a flyer saying that there is a new restaurant in Kg. BaruSg. Buloh. The dishes there seems to be interesting. Pig Knuckle, herbal chicken and several others. That's why we came to try it out.
Upon ordering food, we were given free soup. Today's soup seems to be Luk Cook Soup with meat.
Taste very good. I kept asking for more.
Rice come in an interesting way. It's in a small container to keep the rice warm. Just like those that people take for picnic.
Sweet Potato Leaves. Not nice coz the vege was "old". Not young leaves.
Not sure what's it called. It's pork sliced thinly and fried with curry leafs and onions. Mamarazzi like the crunchy pork slice. Papa doesn't like it. The onion seems to be more than the pork.
Steam Egg. A bit too oily, otherwise taste okay.
Half a Roast Duck (RM15). According to the man there, it's a small/young duck. An true enough, there was not much fat. The skin taste crispy just like Roast Piglet. The duck was well marinated and taste good.
During dinner, I spotted a Lenglui at the next table. I waved my Roast Duck Drumstick at her intending to offer her a share. But she ignored me. Maybe she thought I am trying to clobber her with the drumstick kot?
Total bill was RM46. Rather expensive for such simple dishes.
Here is the address just in case anyone wish to try their Roast Duck 434, Jalan Taiping, Kg. BaruSg. buloh, 47000, Selangor. Tel 012-2153488.
Big round Winter Melon. Saw Auntie Claire's post on Winter Melon Soup in December 2009. Am now going to attempt to cook Winter Melon Soup .
One Winter Melon, cut and cleaned. Two pieces of roast porkbones, some scallops, some dried oyster, some red dates and some Gei Zhi.
Alamak! put into which pot ah? one is too small and the other is too big.
In the end, Mamarazzi put into a BIG pot and steamed it. Alamak! How come the Winter Melon become "kedut" jor geh? Hmmm....must be Mamarazzi didn't "jaga" the fire properly and steamed too long.
Uh....lucky. The soup is still in the melon. Taste? Not bad la for the 1st attempt.
