Carnival Atmosphere at Electrolux Home Run 2019

Today is the Electrolux Home Run event. We got to the venue pretty early. Lucky we were early as we sort of got lost looking for the car park.

Snatch time to snap some photos first. All sorts of booth were being set up.

There was one about the history of this company. Wow! it's a century old company.  A vacuum cleaner was created in 1910 .... WOW!!!

Yea... I know no chance for me to go up the podium but just snap photo while nobody there la.

Wow! all the pretty trophies for winners.

Mamarazzi had her cup of coffee. Super umph... very strong indeed.

I don't need coffee to stay up. We had an energetic warm up session.

Watching sun rise while waiting for my run to be flagged off.

And there I went.... can you spot me?

And here I came back...

Actually I was quite slow-lah. But at least I finished the run.

Another one for the album. Sweaty and stinky.

But luckily they provided lotsa beverage for us to choose from. There were Yakult yogurt drink ,mineral water, 100plus, Teh tarik and coffee. I think at the roadside there were some trucks too...maybe Milo but I didn't go and see.

The organiser even provided breakfast for us. They gave us Nasi Lemak, a slice of banana cake and a piece of pineapple tart. If not enough, can queue and take again.

There FNA Marketing (M) S/B was there giving out bars of Lindt chocolate. And they responsibly display the expiry date which is 31 Aug 2019.  Food and loads of food.

.There were clowns giving out balloons. There were Inflatable castles and  parkour/obby(Mamarazzi have no idea what  is parkour),inflatable Lounge chair(which later they let us bring home), selfie stand and bubble machines.

It felt more like a Carnival than a run. 

Apart from the prize giving, there were lucky draw too. There were 50 Lucky Draw prizes plus 1 Grand prize to be had. We waited till the end but Lady Luck was not with me.

At the end of the Lucky Draw, the DJ said there is another surprise for us. Musical Chair. They announce that we can take home the inflatable lounge chair . But Mamarazzi told me no la. No place to put lah . 

Well, I did get a "consolation" prize. I was at the water station asking for a drink of 100 Plus and the Lady gave me a whole bottle to bring home as the event was ending.

Hari Raya Celebration at the Farm , 2019

Usually for Hari Raya celebration we would go back hometown but this year is a bit different. A gardening friend had invited us with a couple of other gardening friend to celebrate at her farm .


This is the first time went to a real farm (ignore those school trips). Wow! Auntie Azura really amazing. She cooked so many dishes all by herself. the night before our visit, she cooked till 2am!

 

I had a great time enjoying yummy food cooked by Auntie Azura. Loved her fried chicken the most. I kept on adding and adding to my plate till I forgot how many rounds did I ate. It was super yummy. 

Not only yummy food but also fresh fruits from the tree too. Just pluck, cut and eat. Super sweet passion fruit. 

After eating, we walked around the farm. Plenty of citrus fruits. 

Naughty Uncle Eric showed us how to harvest Coconut. Just twist and twist and twist. 

Fresh and refreshing Pandan Coconut juice. Coconut cut open by the expert... Uncle Eric. 

Next, Auntie Azura lead us to her friend's  Uncle Ah Yau , Dragon Fruit Farm . Here we get to harvest the fruit straight from the plant itself. 

Alamak... so shy la... Mamarazzi thought it's like those Cameron Highland harvest strawberry and pay but mana tau Auntie Azura's Friend said no need to pay. Aiyoyo.... 

Some more he brought the group of us to his Durian Farm . It's truly an eye opening experience. Normal car can't go up the hill. Need to ride his truck. Very bumpy ride. Hahaha... so much fun for me. 

MUSANG KING! one of the best durian species. 

Me waiting for Durian Runtuh but unfortunately we were a month early. Durian have not start dropping yet.  But still I had fun picking up the unwanted durian from the ground. Uncle Ah Yau explain that he had to trim off some of the durian from the branches so that the branches would not be too heavy and break. 

It started to rain a bit but I had fun following Uncle Ah Yau checking on his durian trees. He have this funny looking pail upside down near each tree. It's some sort of self watering system.  And then there were some durian with holes on them. He said because of the squirrel came and eat. 

He did not spray any pesticide. That's why pest likes to come and destroy his fruits. 

Next stop we went to another of Auntie Azura's friend farm  . The owner Uncle Kah Yu was not around but he left a big basket of dragon fruit for us to enjoy. Peel and eat there and then. I saw some Dragon Fruit Plant seedlings. 

On the journey back to Auntie Azura's farm, we pass by some rubber trees. 

Arrived at Auntie Azura's Farm, I was famished again. Had her fried chicken and ketupat with DURIAN

After that, we went exploring again. This time we plucked some Winged Beans. It's n ice to eat raw or to be stir fried.  

Oh no! Auntie Azura's husband knowing that we will be visiting ...already harvested one whole big basket of Winged Beans for us to take home. 

Then they asked me wanna go harvest Sweet Corn? I followed. My first time harvesting Sweet corn and of all the corn in the field... I had chosen the one with worm!!! I had a shock and immediately threw away the corn. Confirmed, Auntie Azura did not spray any pesticide . It's truly organic corn. 

In  the end we came home with so many goodies. Yummy!  An of course I "tapau-ed" some of the delicious fried chicken to eat in the car.

This Hari Raya Celebration is indeed and eye opening experience for me . Thank you to Auntie Azura family and friends for the invitation. 

Children Cooking Session @ Electrolux Home Run 2019 RPC

Pardon the mask. I was not feeling well that day.

Have you heard of  Electrolux Home Run 2019 ? We got to know about it through Auntie Lina. Mamarazzi registered me for the run and last weekend we went to Central i-City Mall for the Race Pack Collection.

Wah... quite far from our place but what to do... Mamarazzi was very scare of the traffic condition and parking there as we have never been there. We went a few hours early. Thankfully everything went smoothly.

Very easy. Just show them our e-registration. They scanned and we can collect the Race Pack Kit .

Hey, they even provided light breakfast/refreshment. Aiyak... they only have coffee. No Milo for me .Never mind, now I learn to enjoy coffee too.

Actually Mamarazzi also registered me for the Children Cooking Session @ Electrolux Home Run 2019 RPC. Alang-alang go all the way there to collect...might as well do some cooking too lah.

Anyway, since we were way too early we went browsing around the mall. Surprisingly many shops had opened in this new mall.  Mamarazzi was complaining why the floor plan not fully updated but then I discovered something in my phone. Seems that they have some kind of apps that gives online direction. Mamarazzi just have to lemme know which shop she is looking for, and I can tell her the exact location!.

And of course I would look for makan place. Ya! found sushi shop.  I ate and ate till Mamarazzi said her purse gonna explode.

Next stop! hunt for Miao  book. Found that there is a Popular Book Store there. And I have been wanting to get my hands on Miao&WafuPafu 3rd book . Enjoyed reading it while waiting for the cooking session to begin.

Cooking session started at 2.30pm. We made Kani Tuna Mayo Onigiri with Chicken, Stuffed Parmesan Mushrooms & Fresh Fruit Skewers.

The "expectation" vs "reality".  Mamarazzi said mine looks more like Monsters Bento instead  of Pandas. 

The cooking session took slightly longer than expected. We had a group photo and the Chefs asked us to open up our Bento box but I didn't open mine. 

Mamarazzi wasn't feeling that well too  and didn't feel like cooking dinner. We "tapau" dinner instead. On the way to collect the car, Mamarazzi spotted Family Mart. Lately The Sea Salt Ice Cream is trending. She bought a mixed flavour for me to taste.

Errrrr... Okay ...I think I preferred single flavour.. the Sea Salt Ice Cream is quite interesting. 

We made it home safely with our Valuable Cargo despite being chase by the rain all the way. Yea... rain likes to bully Mamarazzi.
